Italian admirers for Younes

Napoli winger Amin Younes wants to leave the club, with Torino, Sassuolo and Genoa interested, claims Tuttosport.

Younes has struggled to break into the starting XI since arriving from Ajax in the summer of 2018.

The German has only started once this season, and therefore wants a move away from the Stadio San Paolo in search of regular football.

Tuttosport claims that the winger has interest in Italy, with Torino and Genoa potential destinations.

Sassuolo have also been mentioned by the Turin daily as a possible candidate to sign Younes.

IFK Goteborg and Sweden international midfielder Sebastian Eriksson is undergoing a medical today for his transfer to Genoa.

He turns 31 later this month and his contract with Goteborg is due to expire in December 2021.

Eriksson is not a stranger to Serie A, having already played for Cagliari from 2011-15, although he was out of action for practically a whole year due to a knee injury during that spell.

According to Gotenborgs-Posten and Sky Sport Italia, there is a clause in his contract allowing him to move for just €50,000.

The value of winning ugly

The Scudetto is ultimately decided by weekends like this, explains Giancarlo Rinaldi, as Juventus grind, Inter grumble and Lazio go wild.

It’s hard not to feel nostalgic, sometimes, for the old Sundays of Serie A. Every game kicked off in the afternoon and across a couple of hours of intense emotions, the league table shuffled around before reaching its final conclusion. Nowadays, we count ourselves lucky if the fixtures are spread over only two days and drag on from just lunchtime to bedtime on its showcase day. And, in the end, Juventus end up on top just the same.

Nicola’s side lost 3-1 to the Giallorossi, but the coach states that he was happy with the team’s display in general.

“In the first half we weren’t as brave as in the second, in which we created four opportunities, like Roma. I think our fans appreciated the performance," Nicola told Sky Sport Italia.
