Loris Karius was recently offered to Roma as the Newcastle United goalkeeper looks to make the jump to Serie A this summer.

The 30-year-old German shot stopper, who is engaged to well-known DAZN presenter Diletta Leotta, is the third-choice option in the northeast of England, making just two appearances for the club since his initial arrival back in September 2022. His contract expires at the end of this season.

Karius is keen to move closer to his fiancée and has recently switched representatives to Circum, a player agency involving Alessandro Tocci and former Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio, who are now working to find a Serie A club for the goalkeeper.

As reported by TMW, Karius was recently offered to Roma ahead of the summer transfer window, but the Giallorossi put the idea on hold for the time being, still needing to appoint a long-term successor to Tiago Pinto.

In the next few weeks, the 30-year-old will be offered to other clubs in Serie A that need a goalkeeper including Monza and Torino, who are expecting offers for Michele Di Gregorio and Vanja Milinkovic-Savic respectively.

  1. Feel for this guy after having his entire career derailed in the 2018 CL final. Hopefully he finds some success in Serie A.
