Official: Genoa sign Goldaniga

Genoa have officially signed Sassuolo defender Edoardo Goldaniga on a season-long loan with option to buy.

Goldaniga was surplus to requirements at Sassuolo after they brought in Vlad Chiriches and Filippo Romagna on deadline day.

The 25-year-old spent the previous campaign at Frosinone, making 30 appearances in all competitions and scoring one goal.

Prior to his spell with the Canarini, the former Italy Under-21 international played for Palermo, Perugia and Pisa.

Genoa: Ankersen in, Romulo out

Genoa have officially signed right-back Peter Ankersen from FC Copenhagen, while sending Romulo to Brescia.

Ankersen arrives on a permanent basis for an undisclosed fee.

Sportitalia adds he was recommended to the club by fellow Dane and new recruit Lasse Schone.

He also has 23 caps for his country and replaces Romulo, who moves to Brescia on a season-long loan.

Montella: 'Fiorentina lack experience'

Vincenzo Montella again identified inexperience as the problem with Fiorentina after their defeat to Genoa. “We keep losing our shape.”

“It’s a difficult fixture list, but we mustn’t look at it,” said the Coach in his Press conference.
