Igor Tudor admits 2-0 is ‘a difficult result to overturn, but it has happened in football’ going into the Coppa Italia semi-final against Juventus.

It kicks off at the Stadio Olimpico at 20.00 UK time (19.00 GMT).

The Bianconeri won the first leg 2-0 on April 2 with goals from Federico Chiesa and Dusan Vlahovic, so the Aquile need to win by two clear goals to force extra time, three to turn it around completely.

“The team wants to put in a great performance and try to achieve a coup,” Tudor told Sport Mediaset.

“A 2-0 result is a difficult one to overturn, but it has happened in football. We must stay in the game for 90 minutes and see what happens.

“We’ve got to give our all, not allow them anything in defence and find solutions in attack. Above all, we must stay in the match from start to finish, then we’ll see what happens.”

Tricky Tudor debut

Tudor made his debut on the Lazio bench with a 1-0 Serie A victory over Juventus at the Stadio Olimpico, then a few days later lost 2-0 to the same opponents in the Coppa Italia in Turin.

It was followed by a 1-0 defeat to Roma in the Derby della Capitale, but then back-to-back wins over Salernitana and Genoa.

Reaching the Coppa Italia Final is a target in itself, as it guarantees qualification for next season’s Supercoppa Italiana Final Four format.
