Allan: 'It still hurts'

Allan said ‘it’s a travesty’ that Napoli didn’t win the Scudetto in 2017-18 and revealed ‘there’s no animosity’ after a controversial final season at the Azzurri.

The Brazilian midfielder has joined Carlo Ancelotti, who was sacked by the Azzurri in December, at Goodison Park and closed his five-year long chapter with the Partenopei after a turbulent 2019-20.

Napoli won't miss Everton's Allan

Seeing Allan join Carlo Ancelotti at Everton was the best solution for all concerned, writes Kaustubh Pandey, as Napoli should’ve sold him sooner.

It would have been strange to suggest that Napoli wouldn’t miss Allan if the Brazilian left the Partenopei at the same time as Jorginho in 2018, but times change. One of Maurizio Sarri’s most important players at the club until that summer, the former Udinese man often embodied a warrior-like box to box role in the heart of the midfield. His job was to protect Jorginho and make up for his occasional defensive lapses. He had to recycle possession quickly and often get involved in play as well.

Allan: 'Grateful to Napoli'

Allan said goodbye to Napoli teammates and fans after completing his transfer to Everton. ‘I am grateful to have worn this glorious jersey.’

The midfielder spent most of his career in Italy, first at Udinese and from 2015 with Napoli, but was sold today for €25m plus bonuses.

“Naples is a special city,” wrote the 29-year-old on Instagram alongside a picture of him kissing the Coppa Italia trophy his team won in June.

Official: Napoli sell Allan to Everton

Allan has officially completed his transfer from Napoli to Everton for a reported €25m plus bonuses. ‘Carlo Ancelotti did everything possible to bring me here.’

The 29-year-old had his medical this week and is reunited with former Partenopei coach Ancelotti, who was fired in December.

“We have completed the signing of Brazil international Allan, with the midfielder penning a three-year deal until the end of June 2023,” wrote Everton in a statement.

Allan arrives for Everton medical

Napoli midfielder Allan has landed in Liverpool with a private jet to complete his Everton transfer for a reported €25m plus bonuses.

The 29-year-old has been pushing for an exit for some time and his rapport with the club was never the same after they rejected a €50m proposal from PSG in January 2019.

Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis confirmed the deal was done with Everton, where Allan will reunite with former Partenopei coach Carlo Ancelotti.

Allan bags packed for Everton transfer

Allan has already left the Napoli training camp and is packing his bags for the €25m plus bonuses transfer to Everton, claim reports.

According to Canale 8, the Brazilian is at his home in Pozzuoli preparing the final things for the trip to Merseyside.

Done deal: Allan to Everton

Multiple Italian reports claim Everton have agreed a deal for Napoli midfielder Allan for €25m plus bonuses.

There is still some difference of opinion on the exact figures, but he is expected to fly in for a medical tomorrow evening or on Monday.

Allan edging closer to Everton
