Inter doubt Man Utd 'compensation' claim

The Corriere dello Sport claim Manchester United are trying to make the most of Inter’s financial problems by offering to take Lautaro Martinez or Milan Skriniar for outstanding Romelu Lukaku payments, but don’t expect the gambit to work.

It’s more like this is part of a pressure campaign to get the best possible deal out of the situation, similar to the negotiations that went right down to the wire over the summer for Alexis Sanchez.

Man Utd claim compensation for Lukaku

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Inter didn't pay Manchester United a bonus included in the agreement for Romelu Lukaku and the Red Devils want Lautaro Martinez or Milan Skriniar as compensation.

Lukaku joined Inter in a €74m move from Manchester United in the summer of 2019.

The Rome-based paper reports the Nerazzurri failed to pay a bonus in the region of €5m included in the agreement that saw the Belgian striker move to the Stadio Meazza.

Zlatan out of four important games

Milan forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic has suffered a muscle injury in the left thigh and will be reassessed in 10 days, missing four important games.
