Vasco da Gama: 'Balotelli not a dream'

Mario Balotelli is reportedly choosing between Barnsley and Vasco da Gama, with the Brazilian club assuring ‘it’s not a dream, but pure reality.’

The 30-year-old is a free agent after the end of his difficult and brief spell with Brescia, so is training with Serie D side Franciacorta.

While The Sun has suggested interest from English Championship side Barnsley, the Italian media is more focused on a Brazilian experience with Vasco da Gama.

Report: Vasco want Zenga and Balotelli

Vasco da Gama want to bring Mario Balotelli and coach Walter Zenga to Rio de Janeiro, according to Corriere della Sera.

After Leven Siano took over as President of the Brazilian side, the Italian Fabio Cordella has been appointed as sporting director.

Balotelli, who has been training with Franciacorta in Serie D recently, has been linked with a move to Vasco da Gama.

But the report reveals Cordella wants another Italian currently without a club, as Zenga is looking for a job after his brief stint at the helm of Cagliari last term.

Balotelli to Vasco patron: 'See you soon'

Vasco da Gama President Leven Siano has published a video of Mario Balotelli on his Instagram account, fuelling rumours of a possible future together.

The Vasco da Gama patron told BBC about how his relationship with Balotelli’s agent Mino Raiola could help the club pull off some big-name signings.

And after the win on Saturday, the President has posted a video where Balotelli congratulates him and director Fabio Cordella.

The former Brescia striker has been without a club since last season, but he left a message for the new President.

Brazilians line up for Balotelli

There continue to be reports Mario Balotelli will leave Brescia for a new experience in Brazil, with Flamengo, Botafogo and Vasco da Gama all options.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, agent Mino Raiola is working on an exciting transfer to Brazil for next season.

It’s suggested there are already three clubs who have made their interest known – Flamengo, Botafogo and Vasco da Gama.

Balotelli turns 30 in August and has give goals in 19 Serie A games for hometown club Brescia so far this term.

Raiola plots Balotelli departure?

Brescia forward Mario Balotelli looks set for another stint abroad as agent Mino Raiola has allegedly opened talks with Vasco da Gama and Galatasaray.

The Italian striker returned to Italy last summer but has struggled to live up to the expectations, as Brescia are currently rooted to the foot of the table.

Balotelli, who signed a contract until June 2022 upon his return to Lombardy, has contributed five goals in 19 Serie A games this campaign.

'Balotelli, Ibra & Giovinco for Vasco!'

A Vasco da Gama presidential candidate has promised to target Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Mario Balotelli and Sebastian Giovinco if he is elected.

Luiz Roberto Leven Siano announced his plans for the Brazilian side to FOXSports.com.br, which he hopes include the three forwards.

“We’re negotiating, trying to build the Vasco of our dreams,” he vowed.

“Balotelli and Ibrahimovic have the same agent. Ibrahimovic would be a more daring project.

Benevento bid for Giovinco too

Sebastian Giovinco’s future remains in the balance, as Serie B side Benevento – on the verge of promotion – are new candidates for his signature.

The Atomic Ant is looking to his next move after joining Al-Hilal in Riyadh, with Parma the favourites ahead of Vasco da Gama or Botafogo in Brazil.

Now Il Mattino newspaper claims Benevento have contacted his representatives to ask about a different Serie A option.

Benevento are currently in Serie B, but guaranteed promotion after streaking 20 points clear of second-placed Crotone.

Vasco da Gama court Giovinco

Sebastian Giovinco is reportedly ready to leave Al-Hilal for a new exotic location with Brazilian side Vasco da Gama.

The Atomic Ant is still only 33 years old and has been with Al-Hilal in Riyadh since January 2019.

He has been linked with a return to Italy for Parma, but La Gazzetta dello Sport instead point to an intriguing proposal from Brazil.

According to the report, Giovinco has been offered a two-year contract worth €6m to represent Vasco da Gama.

Maxi Lopez joins Vasco da Gama

Former Udinese, Sampdoria, Torino and Milan striker Maxi Lopez has agreed terms with Vasco da Gama.

The 34-year-old Argentine has spent most of his career in Italy, since joining Catania in January 2010.

He had spells at Milan, Samp, Chievo, Torino and most recently Udinese, but his contract expired last month.

Maxi Lopez has now agreed a move to Brazilian side Vasco da Gama, pending a medical.

His contract will run to December 31 2019, announced the club.

Milan miss out on Dede

Brazilian defender Dede will not be joining Milan this summer after he put pen to paper on a deal with Cruzeiro.
