Agent: ‘Why won’t Italy call Giovinco?’

Sebastian Giovinco’s agent can’t understand why the Toronto FC forward hasn’t been called-up for Italy - “I find it absurd”.

Giampiero Ventura named his squad for the games with Spain and Israel on Saturday, but ‘The Atomic Ant’ wasn’t among the names called.

Last night Giovinco scored twice in a 3-1 win over Montreal Impact, taking his record for the MLS franchise to 63 goals in 97 games.

Tianjin Quanjian push for Giovinco

The main Chinese club trying to tempt Sebastian Giovinco away from Toronto FC is reportedly Fabio Cannavaro’s Tianjin Quanjian.

His agent already confirmed in several interviews over the last few days that he had received three big offers from China and would pass them on to Toronto.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the strongest proposal comes from Cannavaro’s club Tianjin Quanjian.

They already flexed their muscles on the transfer market this month by snatching Axel Witsel from Zenit, even though he was wanted by Juventus.
