Conte on Balotelli and Giovinco

Italy Coach Antonio Conte is open to a Mario Balotelli recall, plus tracks Sebastian Giovinco and Andrea Pirlo.

Balotelli moved to Milan this week on a one-season loan after a dismal spell at Liverpool, so hasn’t featured for the Azzurri since the 2014 World Cup.

“The same is true for him as everyone else. The doors of the Nazionale are not closed to anybody,” declared Conte today.

“It’s up to Balotelli now to earn his place with his performances and behaviour.”

Giovinco: 'I hope Conte saw me'

Sebastian Giovinco “hopes” Italy Coach Antonio Conte saw his hat-trick for Toronto FC against New York City FC.

The Atomic Ant has now found the net 11 times in this MLS season and starred in last night’s 4-4 draw.

“It’s never easy to score in any League,” Giovinco told Sky Sport Italia.

“It is always difficult to do well, as it depends on the hunger and attitude you put on to the field.”

Was the hat-trick a message to Azzurri boss Conte?
