Hernanes: 'Fans waited for my goal'

Hernanes was glad to have scored one of his trademark goals as Juventus beat Pescara 3-0. “The fans were waiting for it.”

The Brazilian has always hit rockets from distance for Lazio and Inter, but struggled to get on the scoresheet in a Bianconeri jersey.

“The fans were waiting for it, a performance like this from me and this type of goal that I have scored many times in Italy,” Hernanes told Sky Sport Italia.

Genoa want Hernanes ‘more & more’

Enrico Preziosi admits Genoa “are becoming more and more interested” in Juventus midfielder Hernanes as the January transfer window nears.

Juve are expected to sign Axel Witsel in January, leaving Hernanes surplus to requirements, despite his recent run of games for the Bianconeri, and Preziosi made it clear Genoa would not hestitate to resurrect their previous interest in the Brazilian.

Hernanes: ‘Critics don’t bother me’

Juventus midfielder Hernanes shrugs off criticism of him and the team - “what counts is the numbers”.

The Brazilian has been a target for criticism from Bianconeri fans since signing from Inter last season, but has been praised by Coach Massimiliano Allegri.

The team as a whole have been criticised for their style of play too, but the former Lazio man points to their place at the top of the table.

“I’m happy with my play and the beautiful words that the Coach has for me,” Hernanes told Sky.

Juve in for Rincon

Juventus Director General Beppe Marotta is reportedly interested in Genoa midfielder Tomas Rincon.

The Venezuelan has been with the Grifone since 2014, and according to La Repubblica, could be soon to make a switch to Turin.

The Bianconeri are said to be willing to offer either Hernanes or Rolando Mandragora in a swap deal for the 28-year-old, in a transfer that is likely to be permanent rather than a loan move.

Henanes may retry Genoa move

Juventus midfielder Hernanes could resurrect a move to Genoa in January, after a previous attempt to join the club collapsed in the summer.

The Brazilian was set to join the Grifone at the end of the transfer window, but when Juve failed to aquire Axel Witsel from Zenit St. Petersburg as planned, the club were not able to let Hernanes leave.
