CL: Lichtsteiner back, Hernanes off

Stephan Lichtsteiner made the dream comeback from heart surgery, but Hernanes saw red as Juventus scraped a 1-1 draw at Borussia Monchengladbach.

The Bianconeri knew they would qualify with a win here and Manchester City victory away to Sevilla. After going down to 10 men, they played for the point and are still five points clear of Sevilla, albeit now second in Group D.

Marotta: 'Welcome back Stephan'

‘Juventus lacking chemistry’

Massimiliano Allegri admits Juventus have lacked “chemistry” so far, but expects improvements as players come back.

The Bianconeri won the Derby della Mole against Torino at the weekend, but are still 10th in Serie A, nine points behind the leaders.

“I think right now we have to put together a run of results,” Allegri told reporters ahead of the Champions League match against Borussia Monchengladbach.

“We have to get positive results in the League, and look to finish the Champions League group in the best way.

Marotta: ‘Cuadrado wants to stay’

Juventus general manager Giuseppe Marotta confirms on-loan Chelsea man Juan Cuadrado wants to stay in Turin.

The Colombian winger joined the Bianconeri this summer on a season-long loan, but without a redemption clause.

“We have no right of redemption, at Chelsea’s request,” Marotta acknowledged at the shareholder’s meeting.

“He’s expressed his happiness at being here with us, and [his happiness to] continue here in future.

Hernanes: ‘I’m not like Pirlo’

Hernanes brushes off Andrea Pirlo comparisons - “I want to write my own history at Juventus.”

The Brazilian joined the Bianconeri from Inter on transfer deadline day, and his style has been compared to the legendary regista, who departed Turin this summer.

“Pirlo is a player with a beautiful history at Juventus and in Italian football,” Hernanes told Diario de Pernambuco.

Allegri: 'Hernanes great game'

Max Allegri was “satisfied” with Juventus as they beat Sevilla in the Champions League, singling out Hernanes for praise.

The 2-0 result was sealed by Alvaro Morata and Simone Zaza to put them top of the group on six points, followed by Sevilla and Manchester City on three.

“The lads put in a good performance, tacticallly, technically and defensively. We had a very young attack with little international experience,” Allegri told JTV.

Allegri: 'Khedira starts with Sevilla'

Max Allegri practically announced his Juventus starting XI against Sevilla, including Sami Khedira and Juan Cuadrado.

It kicks off tomorrow at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT) in the Champions League.

The Coach began by discussing the absentees, as Stephan Lichtsteiner needs further cardiology tests after difficulty breathing during the game with Frosinone last week, while Mario Mandzukic, Claudio Marchisio, Stefano Sturaro and Kwadwo Asamoah are injured.

Martin Caceres was suspended by the club after crashing his Ferrari in Turin last night.

Hernanes: 'Juve not determined'

Hernanes said Juventus “lacked determination” against Chievo after he played in two different roles on his debut.

“I am not remotely satisfied, as we needed three points today and the table is getting stretched out,” he told Sky Sport Italia of the 1-1 draw.

“We lacked the determination to take the lead, so from Tuesday we must immediately try to pour that grit into the game with Manchester City.

Marchisio back for Juve-Chievo
