Lazio ran riot against Chievo with a Sergej Milinkovic-Savic brace, while Fabio Quagliarella’s hat-trick crushed Fiorentina, but Crotone stunned Verona.

Verona book Vukovic medical

Olympiacos defender Jagos Vukovic will reportedly undergo a medical ahead of his Hellas Verona transfer on Monday.

The deal is believed to be on loan with an option to buy for €2.5m.

The Serbia international is the replacement for Martin Caceres, who has already joined Lazio in this January transfer window.

According to Tuttomercatoweb and Sky Sport Italia, a deal is done and Vukovic should have his medical on Monday.

Bagnoli named Honorary Hellas President

Hellas Verona have named their Scudetto hero Coach Osvaldo Bagnoli as Honorary President of the club.

Verona caused one of the biggest upsets in Serie A history when taking the title in 1984-85.

Bagnoli was on the bench at the time and he was given another special place in the club’s history today.

He has been named Honorary President of Hellas Verona, presented with the certificate by current President Maurizio Setti.

Verona bring in Vukovic

Hellas Verona are in advanced talks for Olympiacos defender Jagos Vukovic, who would arrive on loan with option to buy.

The Bentegodi club need a replacement for Martin Caceres, who joined Lazio during the January transfer window.

According to Sky Sport Italia, they are very close to securing a deal for Serbia international Vukovic.

Olympiacos are seemingly prepared to let him go on loan with option to buy for €2.5m.

Cassano: 'Only three Serie A champions'

Antonio Cassano claims there are “only three champions in Serie A,” so is keeping himself in shape for the right opportunity.

The 35-year-old forward hasn’t played since 2016, as he was involved in a contract dispute with Sampdoria, then signed for Hellas Verona in pre-season only to quit two weeks into training.

Now he wants a comeback and assures he’s been keeping himself in shape.

Antonio Cassano assures he is “not a former player, as I am still active and ready to come back if I find a project that interests me.”

Now 35, FantAntonio’s career had seemed to end over the summer when he signed for Hellas Verona as a free agent only to then change his mind a couple of weeks into pre-season training.

He had already been out of action for a year before that due to a contract dispute with Sampdoria.

Genoa and Verona go for Vloet

Genoa and Hellas Verona are targeting NAC Breda creative midfielder Rai Vloet for a January move.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the two Serie A clubs have set their sights firmly on the 22-year-old trequartista.

Vloet came up through the PSV Eindhoven academy and was sold to NAC Breda in July 2017.

This season, he contributed four goals in 17 competitive appearances.
