Season over for Koulibaly?

Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly has suffered a muscle problem in the calf and will be out for at least two weeks.

The Partenopei have confirmed the instrumental examinations revealed a first-degree injury in the calf muscle of the right leg.

The Azzurri defender suffered the injury towards the end of the match against Cagliari, when the Rossoblu equalised in stoppages.

The Senegalese defender will thus be out for at least two weeks and will miss the games against Spezia, Udinese and Fiorentina.

Gattuso and De Zerbi reject Fiorentina

According to Sky Sport Italia, Gennaro Gattuso and Roberto De Zerbi have rejected the chance to become the Fiorentina coach next season, meaning Ivan Juric remains the sole candidate for the job.

La Viola are facing a tumultuous season with Beppe Iachini sacked in November, only to return to the Stadio Artemio Franchi in March, after Cesare Prandelli had resigned.

However, the former Palermo coach is not expected to stay in Florence long-term as the Tuscans are looking for a new coach for next season.

Italiano: 'Spezia create enough chances'

Vincenzo Italiano doesn’t believe Spezia have attacking problems, despite scoring only twice in three games.

After leaving the pitch goalless in a 2-0 defeat to Genoa last time, Italiano stressed the Aquilotti continues to create enough chances.

The coach quashed the reports of an alleged attacking decline ahead of Saturday’s match against Hellas Verona.

“I don’t think so. Even in the last match we created the chances to be transformed into goals,” Italiano said at a press conference.
