Borini: 'I just want to win'

Fabio Borini said he had “dreamt” of scoring on his debut and claimed his move to Hellas Verona “was a brave choice”.

After struggling to establish himself at Milan, the former Liverpool player signed a six-month deal at the Bentegodi this month.

It started well for him, as he came on to grab the equaliser in a 1-1 match against Bologna last weekend, and he said he matched the “characteristics” coach Ivan Juric was looking for.

The value of winning ugly

The Scudetto is ultimately decided by weekends like this, explains Giancarlo Rinaldi, as Juventus grind, Inter grumble and Lazio go wild.

Nowadays, we count ourselves lucky if the fixtures are spread over only two days and drag on from just lunchtime to bedtime on its showcase day. And, in the end, Juventus end up on top just the same.
