Pirlo: 'Juve shouldn't need slap to wake up'

Andrea Pirlo warns Juventus ‘shouldn’t need a slap in the face to wake up and play with intensity’ after their 1-1 draw with Hellas Verona.

The fact remains, the Bianconeri have won only one Serie A match on the field this season, their first 3-0 against Sampdoria.

They drew with Roma, Crotone and Verona, while the Napoli fixture was handed to them 3-0 after it was cancelled.

Juric: 'Verona should've held on'

Ivan Juric had regrets leaving the Juventus Stadium with only a 1-1 draw, as he felt Hellas Verona ‘didn’t have the right energy after taking the lead.’

Hellas had gone in front through Andrea Favilli, who injured himself during the goal, and were pegged back by Dejan Kulusevski’s moment of magic.

The Veronese club have conceded only two goals in five Serie A rounds, despite missing several key players, and are on eight points, just one shy of Juve.
