Modric makes final Inter plea

Luka Modric will meet Real Madrid President Florentino Perez today in one last bid to push for an Inter move, it’s reported.

According to various Italian and Spanish sources, the Croatia international will hold a meeting with Peres just 24 hours before the Serie A transfer deadline.

He and his agents are pushing for a switch to San Siro, claiming Perez pledged to let him leave at the end of the season if they won the Champions League again.

Final Ronaldo obstacle for Juve?

It is reported that Real Madrid President Florentino Perez will raise his asking price for Cristiano Ronaldo, but Juventus will pay it.

A fee in the region of €100m was thought to have been agreed between the two clubs for the Portuguese.

However, Gazzetta dello Sport reports this morning that Bernabeu boss Perez is set to lay one final obstacle in the way of the deal being confirmed.

According to the Italian daily, Perez will raise his asking price slightly at a meeting with super-agent Jorge Mendes, scheduled to take place this coming week.
