Del Piero in hospital with kidney stones

Alessandro Del Piero is in hospital in Los Angeles, suffering from kidney stones. ‘I still can’t believe something 3mm small can hurt that much.’

The former Juventus and Italy star posted an image of himself on Instagram in the UCLA Emergency Department.

He was wearing a facemask, which worried some fans, but he quickly assured that it was just a precaution.

“I still can’t believe something only 3mm small can hurt that much,” wrote Del Piero.

Ronaldo: 'Inter, Juve and missed Ballon d'Or'

Ronaldo names the four players – three of them Italian – who should’ve won the Ballon d’Or, goes back over the Inter showdowns with Juventus and refereeing ‘mistakes.’

Il Fenomeno spoke to Del Piero in an Instagram live chat about his Serie A career and the infamous Mark Iuliano challenge in that match against Juventus in April 1998.

“I can understand mistakes and referee can get it wrong too,” said Ronaldo of the denied penalty and later eruption of the Calciopoli scandal in 2006.

Italy 2006 squad donates ambulances

Alessandro Del Piero announced the fund-raising initiative from the 2006 World Cup winning Italy squad had been able to purchase four ambulances.

They were donated to the Italian Red Cross to help deal with the COVID-19 pandemic.

“They are ultramodern, with new bio-containment systems and at the end of this pandemic (which we hope is soon), can be used normally too,” wrote Del Piero on Instagram.

Galliani: 'Two Milan regrets'

Adriano Galliani has revealed his two biggest regrets as Milan CEO – passing up Alessandro Del Piero and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Galliani spent 31 years managing Milan with Silvio Berlusconi, building five European Cup-winning teams between 1986 and 2017.

“Milan were having financial problems at the time of our arrival, but the team already had good foundations in place,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
