Agent: 'Serie A possibility for Cavani'

Edinson Cavani is in no rush to discuss a new contract with Paris Saint-Germain, confessed his agent. "A return to Italy is a possibility, but not in January."

Cavani played in Italy from 2007-2013 with Palermo and later Napoli, before moving to France in the summer of 2013.

Walter Cavani, Edinson's agent and brother, spoke to calcionapoli26.it about the prospect of his brother returning to Italy.

Cavani: Napoli no, Inter Miami...

It is reported Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani will pass up an emotional return to Napoli for a move to Inter Miami next summer.

Cavani left Napoli for Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2013 and had been tipped to end his career back at the San Paolo.

However, Fox Sports is claiming the Uruguayan has agreed to join Inter Miami once his PSG contract expires next year.

The club will make their MLS debut in 2020 and are in part bankrolled by David Beckham.

Cavani rejects Inter rumours

Edinson Cavani shot down reports of a return to Serie A for Inter. “I promised that I’d stay at PSG until the end of my contract. That is certain.”

The Uruguay international was mentioned as an alternative to Edin Dzeko and Romelu Lukaku for the Nerazzurri front line, especially as his contract is due to expire in June 2020.

“I already told the fans and promised to myself that I’d stay at PSG until the end of my contract. That is certain,” 32-year-old Cavani said in an interview with Le Parisien.

Report: Cavani rejects Inter, Icardi...

Gazzetta dello Sport is claiming Edinson Cavani has rejected Inter, Mauro Icardi will only leave for Juventus and Edin Dzeko’s move has stalled.

Cavani had emerged as Inter’s preferred alternative to Romelu Lukaku for the role of No 9.

However, La Gazzetta warns the Uruguayan informed the Nerazzurri that he would rather stay at Paris Saint-Germain, at least until his contract expires next summer.

Inter and Jiangsu combine for Cavani

With Juventus in advanced talks for Romelu Lukaku, Inter turn to PSG star Edinson Cavani with help from Jiangsu Suning.

Coach Antonio Conte goes into August with only Lautaro Martinez and teenager Sebastiano Esposito as recognised centre-forwards.

Juve sent Paulo Dybala’s agent to London for negotiations with Manchester United, taking Inter’s first choice Lukaku in exchange, while Roma continue to demand €20m for Edin Dzeko.

Inter turn to PSG striker Cavani

With Beppe Marotta frustrated by Romelu Lukaku and Edin Dzeko problems, Inter are reportedly turning to PSG striker Edinson Cavani.

According to Sportitalia, the Nerazzurri have realised the cost of Antonio Conte’s first choice strikers are simply too high after a series of proposals were rejected.

Director Marotta hinted as much when speaking to Sky Sport Italia today about Manchester United’s Lukaku demands.

Inter still €20m from Lukaku

Inter have reportedly offered €60m plus bonuses for Romelu Lukaku, but Manchester United’s €85m asking price could end negotiations.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, the written proposal sent to Old Trafford is worth €60m plus bonuses, with payment spread out over several years.

However, Manchester United are not budging from their initial assessment of €85m plus add-ons.

The difficulty in selling Mauro Icardi is making things worse for Inter, who otherwise cannot afford such a large expenditure on one player.

Inter: From Lukaku to Cavani?

Inter have reportedly switched their attentions to Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani after being priced out of Romelu Lukaku.

Manchester United are continuing to demand in excess of €80m for Lukaku, which Inter are not prepared to spend.

With that in mind, Tuttosport and Corriere dello Sport both claim the alternative is Cavani.

The former Napoli hitman is viewed as a cheaper option, given he is 32 and has only one year left on his PSG contract.

Arrivederci Hamsik

With Marek Hamsik moving to Dalian Yifang, Vilizar Yakimov pays tribute to the Napoli legend, as his departure marks the end of an era under Vesuvius.

Marek Hamsik: 12 years, 520 games and 121 goals. Nobody has played more games or scored more goals for Napoli than Marekiaro, who, despite winning only three trophies, has already earned his place in Calcio’s history books.

The Slovakian has been the main pillar of Napoli’s success in recent years and the €5.5m that the Partenopei paid Brescia in 2007 for his services proved to be a real bargain.
