Halilhodzic 'regrets Milan snub'

Ex-Algeria and Trabzonspor Coach Vahid Halilhodzic confessed he “regrets declining” an offer from Milan.

The tactician impressed at the World Cup and opted for Turkish side Trabzonspor, but was fired this morning.

Suarez: 'I was wrong on Chiellini'

Luis Suarez had to “accept what you’ve done is wrong and apologise” after biting Giorgio Chiellini at the World Cup.

The Uruguayan striker avoided the referee’s gaze during the incident in the 1-0 win over Italy, but was caught on camera and handed a four-month ban, which has now expired.

Pogba: 'I'll be best in the world'

Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba said his “aim is to become the best player in the world” after a FIFA award.

The France international picked up the Hyundai Young Player award for his part in the 2014 World Cup during the Paris Motor Show today.

“I’m very proud to receive this award and it was an honour for me to play in the World Cup,” the 21-year-old told FIFA.com.

“I can’t predict what’s going to happen in the future, but I’m going to do all I can to win even more trophies.

Suarez: No more biting

Barcelona forward Luis Suarez has promised his World Cup bite on Italy’s Giorgio Chiellini was his last.

Though the Uruguayan escaped punishment at the time, he was hit with a four-month worldwide ban from football in the aftermath of the incident.

During that time he has completed a switch to the Camp Nou side from Liverpool, while the severity of his ban has been reduced so that he is at least now able to train with his new teammates.
