Ciro Immobile was the MVP of Lazio-Zenit, as the Biancocelesti star netted a brace to secure a key win against the Russians in Champions League.

The 2020 Golden Shoe winner scored the opener after only three minutes, before Marco Parolo doubled Lazio’s lead 19 minutes later. Artem Dzyuba’s goal shook the hosts, who restored their double lead with Immobile’s goal from a spot kick in the second half.

“We did well to make it seem easy, but it really was not, as Zenit are accustomed to being in the Champions League,” Inzaghi told Sky Sport Italia.
