CSKA: ‘Two days for Golovin’

CSKA Moscow’s President says the future of Juventus target Alexandr Golovin will be decided “in the next two days” and “there’s no done deal” with Chelsea.

The Russian midfielder appears to be close to a move to Stamford Bridge, but the Bianconeri and Monaco have also made bids.

“We have to let Golovin go so we don’t hold him back,” Evgeniy Giner told Sport24.

“As things stand though we still don’t have the solution. When we receive an offer we always try to negotiate openly.

Golovin to have Chelsea medical?

Chelsea appear to have beaten Juventus and Monaco to Aleksandr Golovin’s signature, with reports he’ll have a medical today.

The Russian talent has been the subject of at least two bids by the Bianconeri, while it was confirmed yesterday that Monaco have also made an offer.

Now though calciomeracto.com is citing BBC sources in Russia who state that CSKA Moscow have accepted a bid from Chelsea, who are offering a five-year contract.

Golovin has agreed terms in principle, so a medical could take place as soon as today.

Golovin waiting for Juventus

Aleksandr Golovin has offers from Chelsea and Arsenal, but it’s reported he is prepared to wait for Juventus to step up.

The 22-year-old Russia international impressed at the World Cup, contributing a goal and two assists in four games.

Mario Mandzukic spent €4,000 buying drinks for people in his hometown to watch Croatia beat Russia on penalties at the World Cup.

The Juventus striker ran up the massive bar tab while he was playing in the quarter-final last night.

The news was confirmed by Radio Slavonija, noting supporters gathered in the Brod Fortress in Slavonski Brod and kept thirst away during extra time and a penalty shoot-out.

World Cup: Croatia win Russian roulette

Croatia came back from a goal down, were forced to penalties after a 2-2 thriller and eliminated hosts Russia on penalties to set up a semi-final against England.

Russia already caused an upset by eliminating Spain, while the Croatians started Serie A players Ivan Strinic, Ivan Perisic and Mario Mandzukic.

‘Golovin has signed for Chelsea’

Former CSKA Moscow boss Valeri Gazzaev claims Juventus target Aleksandr Golovin ‘has already signed a contract with Chelsea’.

Links between Golovin and Juve have cooled as speculation intensifies that the Russian starlet is close to Chelsea, and Gazzaev – who won the Europa League with CSKA in 2005 – believes he has already agreed to join the Blues.

“Golovín will decide where the best place for him is,” he was quoted as saying by Sport.

Juve leave Golovin to Chelsea

Juventus have pulled out of the bidding war for CSKA Moscow and Russia midfielder Aleksandr Golovin, as Chelsea close on a deal.

According to several different Italian sources, including Sky Sport Italia transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio, the Bianconeri have decided they won’t improve the offer of €20m plus bonuses.

CSKA want at least €25m and Chelsea have over the last 24 hours significantly increased their proposal.

Juve increase Golovin offer

Juventus are ready to increase their offer for CSKA Moscow and Russia midfielder Aleksandr Golovin to €20m plus bonuses.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the initial €19m plus bonuses proposal was rejected.

They are sending a new bid, which would also include a percentage of any future transfer fee going to CSKA, but it is only a slight increase.

The Russians are holding out for at least €25m, closer to €30m and that could climb further if he impresses at the World Cup.
