Skriniar wants to stay at Inter

Inter defender Milan Skriniar said he will stay at the Nerazzurri and help defend the Scudetto in 2021-22.

Skriniar was linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur last summer, but the 26-year-old stayed at San Siro and has played an important role in 2020-21.

After Inter picked up their 19th Scudetto this term, Skriniar expects the rumours of his future to continue this summer.

“There have been rumours, there are and there will be,” Skriniar told Sport Aktuality. “However, I have never listened to or commented them.

Inter defender Milan Skriniar expects ‘more from himself’ and from Slovakia in the World Cup qualifier against Russia. ‘I realise what’s expected of me’.

Skriniar was disappointed after back-to-back draws against Cyprus and Malta, hoping to see improvement from himself and his teammates when Russia arrive at Venue City Arena on Tuesday.

Skriniar wants to end Inter drought

Milan Skriniar was named Slovakian Player of the Year, but admits he wants silverware for his team. ‘Inter haven’t won anything for 11 years.’

The centre-back spoke to Pravda after he was named Best Slovakian Player of the Year.

“If I had been able to vote, I probably would’ve gone for Juraj Kucka. Despite Parma not doing very well right now, he is still one of the best players,” said Skriniar.

Sky: Inter players allowed to travel

The latest coronavirus case doesn’t stop Inter from resuming training and the players can travel for international duty, according to Sky Sport Italia.

The broadcaster reveals the positive case of a member of the team group is not of the technical staff and since all the players have tested negative, they will be given the go ahead to travel for the upcoming international games.

Report: Inter players might be allowed to travel

The local health authority will let Inter players travel for international duty if all the swabs are negative, but the Nerazzurri can only train.

Inter players were banned from travelling ahead of the World Cup qualifiers this month, as the club announced five cases of coronavirus last week.

The club were ordered into total quarantine until midnight on Sunday, meaning the players weren’t even allowed to train.

Sassuolo: Haraslin recovered from COVID

Sassuolo have announced winger Lukas Haraslin has recovered from coronavirus and will return to the group today.

The 24-year-old Neroverdi player tested negative for COVID-19 and has gone through the required medical checks to complete his return to training.

“Sassuolo Calcio Sports Union announce that Lukas Haraslin has carried out a diagnostic test (swab) for coronavirus and the result came back negative,” the club wrote.
