Real Madrid want James guarantees

Real Madrid are prepared to accept a staggered payment for James Rodriguez, claim AS, if Napoli raise the bid to €42m plus bonuses and pledge to buy.

The transfer saga drags on, as the Colombia international returned from a two-year loan at Bayern Munich and is eager to reunite with Carlo Ancelotti.

Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis made clear that he has no intention of paying upfront and is reticent even to make it an obligation to buy.

'Icardi meeting load of nonsense!'

The Colombia international is edging closer to the transfer and his club dropped a big hint by leaving him out of the list of 29 players travelling to Canada for the International Champions Cup.

Keylor Navas and Isco have been given permission to postpone their arrival by a few days, but James is simply not included for games against Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Atletico Madrid.
