Napoli begin to tempt Icardi

Napoli are prepared to pay Inter’s €60m asking price and could even include Lorenzo Insigne in a swap deal for Mauro Icardi, as he’s tempted to turn on Juventus.

The striker’s time at San Siro is over and he is not part of Antonio Conte’s plans after the chaos that ensued when he was stripped of the captaincy in February.

Icardi was offered to Manchester United as part of a Romelu Lukaku exchange, which would’ve resolved two problems in one for Inter, but the Old Trafford side refused.

However, it later clarified the transfer was not imminent and would take time to go through.

That could let in Valencia, with Gianluca Di Marzio’s website warning the Spaniards have shown ‘strong interest’.

Furthermore, they are ready to reserve agent Mino Raiola 30 percent of a future resale.

“We accepted Albiol’s transfer request because we owed it to him,” De Laurentiis told Radio Kiss Kiss.
