Milik on target for Poland

Napoli forward Arkadiusz Milik scored a sensational goal that helped Poland join Italy, Belgium and Russia at Euro 2020.

Milik curled a left-foot strike from outside the box, as Poland beat North Macedonia 2-0 this evening.

That proved enough to secure their place at the tournament next summer.

Russia also mathematically clinched qualification for Euro 2020 today, beating Cyprus 5-0.

Italy and Belgium are the only sides to have qualified with a 100 per cent record so far.

Elmas a rough diamond for Napoli

The Partenopei won the race for Fenerbahce’s Eljif Elmas and Vilizar Yakimov believes the Macedonian teenager can flourish under Carlo Ancelotti.

It’s safe to say that Napoli’s summer mercato has somewhat gone under the radar, especially compared to Juventus’ and Inter’s big-money transfers. The Partenopei have been mainly working on their defence so far, as they already secured the signatures of Kostas Manolas and Empoli’s Giovanni Di Lorenzo, while also confirming the permanent transfers of goalkeeping duo Alex Meret and Davide Ospina.
