Seedorf: Mou must thank Milan!

Clarence Seedorf has explained why Jose Mourinho must thank Milan ‘for becoming a great Coach’.

Milan were thrashed 4-0 by Deportivo La Coruna in the 2004 Champions League quarter-finals, yet Mourinho’s Porto went on to beat the Spaniards in the last four, prior to winning the competition.

“My worst defeat? The 4-0 to Deportivo. It was the worst game of my life, even worse than Istanbul,” continued Seedorf - now in charge of Depor - Fox Sports.

PSG to ‘strongly’ pursue Alex Sandro

Paris Saint-Germain will reportedly ‘strongly, strongly’ pursue the signing of Juventus’ Alex Sandro in the summer.

The French club have been heavily linked with the left-back in recent weeks, along with the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester United.

And according to Claudia Garcia, a respected journalist in Sandro’s homeland of Brazil, the 27-year-old could soon be on his way out of Turin.

“If PSG still don’t have clear ideas on their Coach, they do on players,” Garcia told Rai Sport.

RMC suggest that Paris Saint-Germain have chosen their new Coach, but it won’t be Antonio Conte, Carlo Ancelotti or Max Allegri.

The three Italians have all been pointed to as potential heirs to Unai Emery, whose days are numbered after their failure to progress past the Champions League Round of 16.

Lazio: Freebies to replace De Vrij?

Lazio have reportedly targeted Galatasaray defender Koray Gunter and Porto’s Diego Reyes as free replacements for Stefan de Vrij.

According to Calciomercato.it, Lazio have already acted on the news that De Vrij will leave on a Bosman at the end of the season.

Casillas eager for Serie A move

Veteran goalkeeper Iker Casillas has asked his agent to find him a Serie A club when his FC Porto contract expires, it’s reported.

According to Calciomercato.it, the 36-year-old isn’t ready to hang up his gloves yet and wants a new experience.

He joined Porto in 2015 after many years at Real Madrid and his contract is due to expire in June.

Now he is interested in another new adventure in Serie A and asked his agent and intermediaries to find him a suitable club in Italy.

Lazio want Reyes

Lazio want Porto defender Diego Reyes to replace Stefan de Vrij, according to reports in Italy.

De Vrij looks set to leave the Biancocelesti one way or another, as his current contract expires at the end of the season.

The Aquile have offered a renewal, but that would contain a €25m release clause to allow the centre-back to leave while still recouping a fee for the capital club.

Now Corriere di Roma is reporting that sporting director Igli Tare has identified De Vrij’s replacement, in the shape of Porto’s Diego Reyes.

Herrera offered to Milan

It’s reported Hector Herrera was offered to Milan for next season, but the Rossoneri aren’t particularly interested in the Porto midfielder.

Herrera has been linked with various Serie A clubs before, most notably Napoli and Juventus.

According to Tuttosport newspaper and other sources in Portugal, representatives have contacted Milan to suggest Herrera as an option for next term.

The Mexico international’s contract is due to expire in June 2019 and his price-tag is valued at around €20m.
