Shevchenko: 'I want Milan job'

Milan legend Andriy Shevchenko has confirmed that ‘one of my objectives is to return to the Rossoneri as a coach’.

Shevchenko is Milan’s most successful striker of the past 25 years, scoring 175 goals across two spells and winning a Champions League between 1999 and 2009.

The 43-year-old has been Ukraine’s CT since 2016, recently leading them to qualification for Euro 2020, but he harbours hopes of managing the Diavolo one day.

Shevchenko wants 'Serie A or Premier League job'

Andriy Shevchenko will follow up the Ukraine job by “coaching a club, either in Serie A or the Premier League,” reveals a member of his staff.

Tuttosport spoke to Andrea Maldera, a former Milan Match Analyst who is now working with Shevchenko’s team in Ukraine.

The retired striker has been linked with a return to Italy and the Rossoneri as a coach, which could well be on the cards in future.

“After the experience as a national team coach, his objective will be coaching a club,” said Maldera.

Roma target Shakhtar trio?

Roma have reportedly set their sights on securing Shakhtar Donetsk trio Viktor Kovalenko, Marcos Antonio and Tete for next season.

Roma boss Paulo Fonseca worked with the trio at Shakhtar, where he won domestic doubles in each of his three seasons between 2016 and 2019.

Now, Gazzetta dello Sport claims Fonseca would like to work with them at Roma.

Kovalenko, 24, is a central midfielder with 25 caps for Ukraine. He can also play as an attacking midfielder, although he has managed just six league starts to date this season.

Shevchenko: 'Milan always in my heart'

Andriy Shevchenko describes his everlasting love for Milan. “These colours will always be in my heart, the club which made me a Champions League winner and helped me achieve everything in football.”

The 43-year-old Ukraine coach spent seven seasons with the Rossoneri before going on to Chelsea and Dinamo Kiev, retiring in 2012.

“Red and black, these colours will always be in my heart,” he told the official Milan Twitter account.

Atalanta fans in emergency landing

Atalanta fans, UEFA staff, journalists and sponsors were forced to make an emergency landing on the way to the Champions League game with Shakhtar Donetsk.

The team play their home games in Kharkiv due to the proximity of Donetsk to the military conflict between Ukraine and Russia.

The flight from Warsaw was on its way to Kharkiv, but forced to make an emergency landing in Kiev because of bad weather and a lack of fuel.

Chelsea targeting Malinovskyi

Atalanta midfielder Ruslan Malinovskyi has already attracted interest from Premier League side Chelsea, claim reports in Ukraine.

The 26-year-old only came to Bergamo over the summer for €13.7m, although KRC Genk also retained the right to 10 per cent of his next transfer fee.

He has made eight appearances for the club this season between Serie A and the Champions League.

Shevchenko: 'Not thinking of Milan'

Andriy Shevchenko insists he is focused on Ukraine and has not been contacted by Milan. “I love the club, but I’m not thinking about them now.”

The former striker had been suggested as a potential replacement for Marco Giampaolo, as the new Coach has lost four of his first six Serie A games.

“I love Milan, but the club has not contacted me and on a professional level I’m not thinking about Milan right now,” Sheva told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Report: Milan contact Shevchenko

Tuttomercatoweb claim Milan have contacted Ukraine Coach Andriy Shevchenko, but given Marco Giampaolo one more game to save his job.

The Rossoneri were crushed 3-1 at home by Fiorentina this evening, meaning they have lost four of their first six Serie A games.

According to the latest reports from TMW, the club has begun talks with legend Shevchenko, who is currently the manager of the Ukraine national team.

Malinovskyi agrees Atalanta move

Atalanta have struck a €13.7m deal with KRC Genk for Ruslan Malinovskyi claim Sky Sport Italia, and he’ll fly in for a medical.

Sampdoria and Borussia Dortmund had also been interested in the midfielder, who has 22 senior caps for Ukraine.

The 26-year-old was allowed to leave after Genk signed his replacement, former Fiorentina youngster Ianis Hagi.
