Gladbach have no option to buy Lazaro

Borussia Mönchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl confirmed the German side don’t have an option to buy Valentino Lazaro from Inter.

The 24-year-old moved on loan to Mönchengladbach last summer but has only played 10 times in the Bundesliga and 14 times in total.

Lazaro, who spent six months at Newcastle United in the Premier League last term, has missed 14 games through injuries this term and recently returned from a groin strain.

Milan target Kone close to Gladbach

Toulouse FC midfielder Kouadio ‘Manu’ Kone is reportedly heading to Borussia Monchengladbach rather than Milan, according to French sources.

Sports site le10sport.com and La Depeche claim that the 19-year-old is in advanced talks for a move to Gladbach.

Milan had been tracking Kone, but it seems the €6m proposal was not enough to convince them.

That is still a long way off the original €15m asking price that had been mooted for Toulouse and it’s likely Borussia Monchengladbach have moved much closer to €10m.
