Inter set sights on Muriel

Inter have set their sights on Atalanta and Colombia hitman Luis Muriel for next season, claims La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Nerazzurri are top of the Serie A table, but also crashed out of the Champions League at the group stage, and blame a lack of strength in depth for that failure.

Atalanta fury at half-time whistle

Atalanta were furious when the referee blew the half-time whistle during their Champions League game with Real Madrid while Luis Muriel was clear on goal.

The precise timing of the whistle wasn’t entirely clear, but a pass was certainly in motion towards Muriel, who had a gap open up and could sprint at the penalty area.

Members of the Atalanta bench and staff vented their irritation – as did the Sky Sport Italia commentators – when referee Danny Makkelie blew the half-time whistle during an Atalanta attack.
