Agent: ‘Di Natale will leave’

Antonio Di Natale’s agent says it’s ‘very difficult’ to see the striker remaining at Friuli for next season.

The 37-year-old has spent 11 seasons with the Zebrette since joining from Empoli, scoring 220 goals in 414 games in all competition, but it looks as though this campaign will be his last.

“At the moment, it’s very difficult to see Antonio remaining in Udine,” Bruno Carpeggiani told Gazzetta dello Sport.

Di Natale: 'Sanchez my best partner'

Antonio Di Natale has revealed that Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez is the best partner he's ever had, ahead of his Udinese and Azzurri teammates.

The 37-year-old partnered the Chilean at Udinese from 2008 to 2011, and in the latter year Sanchez was nominated as the Serie A Player of the Month.

In an interview published today on Arsenal's official website, Di Natale admitted the 26-year-old was his best ever partner, ahead of Nazionale teammates such as Alessandro Del Piero, Luca Toni or Antonio Cassano.

Stramaccioni content with point

Andrea Stramaccioni praised Orestis Karnezis and Antonio Di Natale after Udinese picked up a point against Atalanta.

“We could’ve done more, but we gave a sense of consistency to our performance against Torino,” Strama told Rai Sport.

“It wasn’t easy against Atalanta, but I think we slowly took control of the match. Towards the end we created more than our opponents, but a point is acceptable.

Serie A Team of Week 26

A goal-laden round of Serie A football gave Livio Caferoglu a selection headache when compiling Week 26's Team of the Week.

Neto [Fiorentina]

Despite the emphatic nature of Fiorentina's defeat by Lazio on Monday, the goalkeeper was a one-man army, doing everything possible to keep the scoreline down to 'only' 4-0 with a continuous supply of world-class stops. Miraculous.

Strama: 'Di Natale can't retire!'

Andrea Stramaccioni told Antonio Di Natale it would “make no sense to retire now” after Udinese’s 3-2 win over Torino.

The captain was on target again, starting the fightback from 1-0 down at the Stadio Friuli.

“It’s not the first time we’ve conceded in the opening stages,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

Udinese 'disappointed' for Parma

Andrea Stramaccioni and Antonio Di Natale are “disappointed” Udinese’s game with Parma has been called off.

The Serie A fixture was supposed to kick off on Sunday at 14.00 GMT, but has now been officially postponed.

This is because Parma’s financial troubles mean the club cannot guarantee payment for stewards or security staff, so the Stadio Tardini would only be available behind closed doors.

‘I'll try to convince Di Natale’

Udinese President Franco Soldati recognises poacher Antonio Di Natale is their ‘emblem’ and says he wants to ‘convince him to stay’.

The 37-year-old still has been linked in recent days with courtship from New York, but Soldati is keen to stop that from happening.

“Totó is our emblem, I hope I can convince him to stay in Udine for many years,” the club President has told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

Di Natale considers NY offer

Udinese confirmed they are “trying to find the best solution” for Antonio Di Natale after an offer from New York.

The striker had originally announced his retirement last season, but was talked into taking another year in Serie A.

Now it seems the 37-year-old has more plans to keep on playing in America, as it’s widely reported he received a proposal from a club in New York.

It may well be Cosmos rather than MLS side New York Red Bulls, who play in the second division NASL and can count on Raul.

Stramaccioni: ‘We must start over’

Udinese Coach Andrea Stramaccioni says that the Coppa Italia is a real priority for them, as he reflects on disappointing League form.

The Zebrette will be facing Napoli tomorrow evening to determine who will qualify for the Coppa quarter-finals.

However, the Coach is a little irritated by the fact that their next Serie A rivals, Empoli, played their own Coppa Italia match two days before them.

Di Natale eyes foreign move?

Reports indicate that Antonio Di Natale intends to leave Udinese in the summer to continue playing, with interest from America and the Middle East.

The 37-year-old announced his retirement last season, only to be later convinced otherwise by the club's fans and President.

However, attempts to further extend his playing time with the Zebrette beyond this season may have reached a final stop, even if the striker intends to go on playing elsewhere.
