Felipe Anderson: 'My best season'

Felipe Anderson believes this has been his “best season” at Lazio and admits it “took a long time” to reach full maturity.

Now 25, the Brazilian has been in Rome since leaving Santos in 2013.

He suffered with injuries and inconsistent form, but has scored seven goals with 10 assists in 29 competitive games this term.

“It took a long time for me to settle in Italy and my football maturity has just arrived recently, but I am still young and have a lot of time ahead of me,” he told UOL Esporte.

Anderson: 'Lazio fans extra man'

Felipe Anderson said Lazio fans were “an extra man” in their 4-2 victory over RB Salzburg, but believes they could’ve done better.

Felipe Anderson hails Lazio defence

Felipe Anderson praised Lazio defending in the 2-0 victory away to Dynamo Kiev, “as we were aware we could bring home the result.”

The 2-2 draw in Rome was a disappointment, but the Aquile became the first side to beat Dynamo Kiev on their own turf this season with a 2-0 result.

Lucas Leiva’s header and a Stefan de Vrij tap-in, both from Luis Alberto corners, booked their spot in the Europa League quarter-finals.

Anderson: ‘Never had United offer’

Lazio attacking midfielder Felipe Anderson insists there was “nothing concrete” from Manchester United last season.

The Brazilian was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford, but he remained with the Biancocelesti and is back in the team after a tendon problem.

“Only the Press spoke about it,” Felipe Anderson shrugged when asked by Lance about the interest from the Red Devils.

“There was nothing concrete which came to either the club or the people who take care of my career.

Anderson: ‘Focused on Lazio’

Lazio’s Felipe Anderson insists he is focused on his current club despite rumours linking him with a move elsewhere.

The 24-year-old has endured a stop-start season at the Stadio Olimpico, having missed the first three months of the campaign through injury before struggling to cement a place in Simone Inzaghi’s starting 11.

“Three months ago I came back from an injury that kept me out for a good period of time,” the Brazilian explained to Fox Sports.
