Agent: 'Jorginho's price-tag increased'

Jorginho’s agent insists his ‘price-tag has gone up’ since he joined Chelsea and ‘nobody can afford’ to purchase the Italy midfielder at the moment.

He made the move from Napoli in the summer of 2018 for circa €57m plus performance-related bonuses and is under contract until June 2023.

The Brazil-born Italy international has been linked with a return to Serie A for Maurizio Sarri’s Juventus.

Juve: Jorginho no, Emerson maybe

Juventus continue discussions with Chelsea, as while Miralem Pjanic won’t swap places with Jorginho, the Bianconeri are still targeting Emerson Palmieri.

According to Calciomercato.com and SunSport, the Premier League side turned down the option of a player exchange for Jorginho, as they would prefer to receive €40-50m in cash.

There is more leeway when it comes to full-back Emerson, as Tuttosport point out he is not a regular in Frank Lampard’s team and could therefore be allowed to leave this summer.

No Jorginho-Sarri contact 'for a year'

Jorginho and Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri have reportedly not spoken for a year, with the midfielder ‘settled and happy’ at Chelsea.

Jorginho has been continually linked with Juve following Sarri’s move to Turin from Chelsea last June.

However, The Athletic claims the two men ‘have not communicated’ in the time that has passed.

Furthermore, the Italy international is described as having ‘fallen in love’ with London and has ‘particularly relished’ proving fans wrong under Frank Lampard.

Douglas Costa swap for Jorginho?

Juventus could offer Douglas Costa in a straight swap with Chelsea midfielder Jorginho, claims Sport Mediaset.

It would be no surprise to see Jorginho reunited with Maurizio Sarri yet again, after they worked together at Napoli and Chelsea.

He’d also represent someone who already knows Sarri’s football well and could therefore help the others at Juve learn his movements.

While the Premier League side want €50m cash to part with Brazilian-Italian Jorginho, Juve are basing most of their transfer dealings on exchanges.

Jorginho agent: 'Juve, talk to Chelsea'

Jorginho’s agent denies growing rumours of a move to Juventus in exchange for Federico Bernardeschi. “Anyone who wants him has to talk to Chelsea.”

Multiple Italian sources claim a swap deal is in the offing for two players valued at roughly €40m each.

“I only hear about these rumours from the newspapers, because nobody from Juventus has contacted me,” agent Joao Santos told TuttoJuve.com.

Juve 'offer Bernardeschi for Jorginho'

Juventus are reportedly offering Federico Bernardeschi in exchange for Chelsea and Italy midfielder Jorginho.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, a swap deal with Chelsea is likeliest as Maurizio Sarri would gladly resume his relationship with Jorginho in Turin.

As for Bernardeschi, he is described as being open to joining the Blues, making the exchange possible.

However, it remains to be seen whether the Premier League side would give up their No 5 for the 26-year-old.

Agent: 'Chelsea could sell Jorginho'

Jorginho’s agent claims Chelsea could sell the midfielder ‘if a big-enough offer comes in’ and reveals he has been contacted by ‘two top European clubs’.

Jorginho still has three years left on his contract with Chelsea, but speculation of a reunion with Maurizio Sarri at Juventus continues to surface.

“If you ask me if Sarri likes Jorginho, I’d say ‘yes’ due to their history,” Joao Santos told Radio Musica Television.

Jorginho agent on Juventus: 'Why not?'

Jorginho’s agent has again refused to confirm or deny he could leave Chelsea for Juventus. ‘If an important club in Italy calls, then why not?’

The reports of a return to Serie A were inevitable when Maurizio Sarri took the Bianconeri job, as Jorginho already worked with him at Napoli and Stamford Bridge.

With Miralem Pjanic on his way out, probably to Barcelona, Jorginho would be an ideal replacement in the Juve midfield.

The problem with Pjanic

With Barcelona, Manchester United and PSG queuing up for Miralem Pjanic, Livio Caferoglu explains why Juventus aren’t doing more to keep the midfielder.

“If you ask my opinion, I’d like to see Miralem Pjanic touch the ball 150 times per game,” Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri famously declared at his official unveiling 11 months ago, resisting a possible reunion with Chelsea and Napoli protégé Jorginho. Eleven months later, however, and the Bosnian is facing an existential crisis in Turin. Despite his struggles adapting to ‘Sarriball’, Pjanic has no shortage of suitors and Juve don’t seem to mind.
