Klopp set for Liverpool job

Italian reports claim Carlo Ancelotti is still on sabbatical, so Jurgen Klopp will become Liverpool manager.

This evening a 1-1 draw with Everton prompted the Reds to sack Brendan Rodgers.

The race is on for his replacement and it’s believed the Anfield side is eyeing a high profile Coach.

According to some English sources, Ancelotti is top of the wish-list.

However, Sky Sport Italia are adamant Ancelotti is still on his sabbatical after the ugly end to his Real Madrid career.

Emery on Napoli wish-list

While Jurgen Klopp and Sinisa Mihajlovic are available, Napoli could also push for Sevilla Coach Unai Emery.

The race to replace Rafa Benitez at the Stadio San Paolo continues to gather new names.

Much will depend on the result of tonight’s match with Lazio, as a victory would put them into the Champions League preliminary round.

It’s reported simply reaching the group phase of the tournament would be worth €40m for the club.

Beckenbauer: 'Klopp to Napoli!'

Jurgen Klopp will be the next Coach of Napoli after Rafa Benitez goes to Real Madrid, claims Franz Beckenbauer.

“Next season Klopp will be training in the South of Italy, at Napoli,” German legend Beckenbauer told Sky Sport Deutschland.

The former Borussia Dortmund manager had been named as one of the likely candidates, but only if the Partenopei snatch third place from Lazio this evening.

That would put them in the preliminary round of the Champions League with a considerably bigger budget.

Napoli: Upgrade Coach with UCL?

Napoli could look to Luciano Spalletti, Jurgen Klopp, Unai Emery or Cesare Prandelli if they reach the Champions League.

The Partenopei are resigned to the idea Rafa Benitez will leave when his contract expires next month to take over at Real Madrid.

Until now the replacement had seemed fairly certain – current Sampdoria boss Sinisa Mihajlovic.

However, Sky Sport Italia insist the situation is not so cut and dried, because there’s a big difference between finishing fourth and third.

“We don’t consider Italian football and Juventus as a team to be so mediocre, on the contrary!
