Galliani: 'Kondogbia was done...'

Milan CEO Adriano Galliani reveals “it was all done” for Geoffrey Kondogbia, but they “cannot accept” the sum Inter paid Monaco.

The transfer had been seemingly secure on Friday evening, only for the midfielder to sign for the Nerazzurri on Saturday afternoon.

“At 1.30 it was all done,” Galliani told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “Monaco had given us the all-clear for the sale at €40m with payment spread over two years, €20m and €20m.

Atleti poach Martinez from Milan

Colombian media have joined the chorus of reports suggesting Milan target Jackson Martinez will join Atletico Madrid.

The Porto striker has a release clause for €35m and had agreed terms for a transfer to Milan this week, as confirmed by club and agent.

However, the Rossoneri would not complete it without a medical and are still waiting for permission from the Colombian Federation, as he is on international duty for the Copa America.

Milan battle Roma for Bacca

As Milan fear losing Jackson Martinez to Atletico Madrid, they battle Roma for Sevilla hitman Carlos Bacca.

This is a worrying weekend for Rossoneri fans, as targets Geoffrey Kondogbia and Giannelli Imbula have deals with arch rivals Inter.

Spanish and Portuguese papers claim Atletico Madrid are prepared to pay the €35m Porto release clause for Martinez and, unlike Milan, won’t wait for a medical first.

Milan won't rush Martinez deal

Atletico Madrid and Arsenal can push in for Jackson Martinez, but Milan won’t sign until the Porto striker has a medical.

The Rossoneri have to all intents and purposes sealed the deal, as they are prepared to pay the €35m release clause in his contract and agreed personal terms.

However, a week has gone by and still Martinez has not undergone a medical, as Milan must wait for permission from Colombia during the Copa America.

Atletico Madrid go for Martinez?

Milan could lose Porto striker Jackson Martinez to Atletico Madrid, claim papers in Spain and Portugal.

A deal had essentially been done last week with the Rossoneri agreeing to pay the €35m release clause in his contract.

The player is in Chile on international duty for the Copa America, so the plan was to have Milan doctors fly out for a medical at the Colombia camp.

However, that has not happened yet and Atletico Madrid are stepping up to intercept.

Milan have reportedly joined the race to bring in Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah after their hopes of re-signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic took a blow.

The Sweden international was reported to have had a conciliatory meeting with Paris Saint-Germain yesterday and now the Rossoneri are believed to have turned to the Egypt international.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Milan President Silvio Berlusconi is aiming to bring in three new forwards and that Salah, who excelled in his six-month loan at Fiorentina, is a new target.

Jackson Martinez is expected to undergo a Milan medical in Chile, where he’s on international duty with Colombia.

The Porto striker “has chosen Milan,” as confirmed on Friday by President Pinto da Costa.

As he is taking part in the Copa America, the Rossoneri have agreed to fly their medics out to the Colombian training base in Chile for the tests.

La Gazzetta dello Sport point out the club also needs to work out a schedule that will suit the Colombian staff.
