'Napoli too slow for Pavard'

An intermediary claims Napoli were too slow for Bayern Munich-bound Benjamin Pavard as they ‘liked’ the France defender without making a move for him.

Napoli appeared to be the favourites to sign Pavard as last year drew to a close, but Bayern confirmed last week that the Stuttgart stopper had agreed to join them in the summer.

Sarri coy on Higuain & Barella links

Maurizio Sarri admits Chelsea ‘need two players’ in response to rumours they could sign Milan striker Gonzalo Higuain and Cagliari’s Nicolo Barella.

Higuain and Barella have been heavily linked with January moves to Chelsea, given Alvaro Morata has struggled for goals and Cesc Fabregas is close to joining Monaco.

BBC: Juve lead Ramsey race, but...

BBC Sport is reporting Juventus are ‘leading the race’ to sign Aaron Ramsey but stresses the Arsenal midfielder has yet to make a final decision.

Sky Sports made it clear in no uncertain terms that Ramsey had agreed a five-year contract with Juve, but the BBC believes this is an exaggeration.

Juventus, Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspur are all reportedly ready to hijack Barcelona’s deal for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

Ramsey books Juventus trip

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey and his agents have reportedly booked their trip to Turin for the Juventus signature.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Wales international will fly out after Juve have played Milan in the Italian Super Cup on January 16.

It is already well known that the Bianconeri have agreed terms with Ramsey, who will be out of contract at the end of the season and therefore a free agent.

The final details will be whittled down and the contract signed in Turin next week, reportedly worth €7.5m per season over five years.

The Sun cites a report in the Mirror, which claims Juve are ‘keen’ to make a last-ditch offer for Hudson-Odoi.

The newspapers agree the Bianconeri have ‘already held talks’ with Chelsea over a deal for the 18-year-old.

However, the winger would ‘prefer a move to Bayern’, who have had several bids rejected but have come back in with an offer worth £35m (€39m).

Robben 'very proud' of Inter interest

Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben has revealed he is ‘very proud’ of Inter’s interest and that he will decide his future before the end of the season.
