Inter postpone Perisic deadline

Inter have, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, extended the deadline set for Bayern Munich’s option to buy Ivan Perisic.

The newspaper claims the two clubs have rearranged their existing deal and pushed the deadline set for May 15, when the German Bundesliga was supposed to be concluded.

Instead of it being the end of the championship, the date oversees the resumption after the forced break due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Report: Werner price drops without title

Inter target Timo Werner’s price could drop to €50m if RB Leipzig don’t win the Bundesliga, but the Nerazzurri face competition from Liverpool for the German international.

The San Siro outfit have allegedly targeted Werner as the ideal replacement should Lautaro Martinez move to Barcelona this summer.

According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, his release clause will drop from €60m to €50m if the club doesn’t win the League this year.

Inter sales can fund Pogba swoop

Inter are determined to challenge Juventus, Real Madrid and PSG for the signing of Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, claims La Gazzetta dello Sport.

It is widely reported the France international will leave Old Trafford this summer, especially after the club did not take up its option to extend his contract.

While Juve are trying to use players as part of an exchange, such as Miralem Pjanic and Douglas Costa, Inter would be more inclined to use a cash sum.

Werner: 'Prefer to move abroad'

Inter and Juventus target Timo Werner has confessed that he would rather move abroad than join RB Leipzig’s rivals Bayern Munich.

Sky Sport Italia reported last night the two Serie A sides were in for Werner, and he has now dropped his biggest hint yet that he will be leaving Germany, despite Bayern’s interest.

“Bayern is a great club, there’s no need to talk about that,” he told Bild.

Nainggolan and Perisic could return to Inter

Inter could welcome Radja Nainggolan and Ivan Perisic back from loan spells at Cagliari and Bayern Munich, but not Mauro Icardi after his PSG move.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Antonio Conte is not entirely averse to giving these players another go, having decided last summer that they did not fit into his tactical project.

With the arrival of Christian Eriksen in January, some adjustments have to be made, and he is ready to consider how they’d slot into that approach.

Napoli set Fabian Ruiz price-tag

Napoli are not prepared to sell Fabian Ruiz for anything under €100m, it’s reported, despite the pressure from Real Madrid and Barcelona.

The Spain international only made the move from Real Betis last summer for €30m, but has been a sensation, playing 32 games for the Partenopei with three goals and two assists.

Real Madrid and Barcelona have never disguised their interest in the 24-year-old, who is also a target for Manchester City and Bayern Munich.

On This Day: Maradona's warm-up

It was on April 19, 1989 that Diego Armando Maradona delighted Napoli fans with what remains an iconic warm-up, set to the song Live is Life.

The Argentina legend showed no sign of nerves when preparing for the UEFA Cup semi-final against Bayern Munich in Germany, as he transformed a simple routine to get the muscles ready into a dance display with football as his partner.

Napoli had a 2-0 lead from the first leg going into the Munich Olympiastadion and El Pibe de Oro was thoroughly enjoying himself when the 1985 song by Opus came over the loudspeakers.

Inter look to Tolisso

Inter remain entirely focused on improving their midfield and the latest target is Bayern Munich’s France international Corentin Tolisso.

The 25-year-old was signed from Olympique Lyonnais in 2017 for over €40m and his contract runs to June 2022.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Tolisso is one of the top names on Inter director Beppe Marotta’s wish-list.

He’s potentially even ahead of Barcelona veteran Arturo Vidal, due to his age and versatility.
