Napoli give Insigne ultimatum?

Lorenzo Insigne is reportedly no closer to a Napoli renewal, as he’s been given a take-it-or-leave-it offer.

The playmaker was thought to be close to signing an extension with his boyhood club, but so far there has been no announcement.

Jose Callejon and Marek Hamsik have both committed their futures to the club, and it’s expected Dries Mertens will do the same in the coming days.

Insigne, however, has been offered a new deal worth €2.5m per season, with President Aurelio De Laurentiis telling him he can take it or leave it.

Serie A Team of Week 13

After another exciting weekend of Serie A football, Dave Taylor selects his best XI from Week 13.

Ciprian Tatarusanu [Fiorentina]

Had to be alert from the start as he blocked a Massimo Maccarone shot and kept it up throughout. In the second half he also blocked shots from Maccarone again and a Riccardo Saponara strike. All in all a good day at the office. Steady.

Wallace [Lazio]
