Corriere: Napoli strike €40m Lozano deal

Napoli have reached an agreement to sign PSV Eindhoven and Mexico winger Hirving ‘Chucky’ Lozano for €40m, claims the Corriere dello Sport.

According to this morning’s edition of the Corriere dello Sport Campania, the deal for Lozano is done.

The paper states that Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis, Coach Carlo Ancelotti and the player’s agent Mino Raiola sat down to thrash out the details of the transfer after they met to talk about Lorenzo Insigne’s future.

Reports: Insigne agrees new Napoli deal

Multiple sources claim Lorenzo Insigne has agreed a new contract to remain with Napoli until June 2024.

The captain has struggled with poor form in recent months and was even jeered by some of the fans at the Stadio San Paolo, prompting reports he would walk away.

However, agent Mino Raiola held crisis talks this week and seems to have smoothed things over.

According to several different sources, including Sky Sport Italia, Rai Sport and Sportitalia, Insigne has now agreed an extended contract to June 2024.

'Insigne can do much more'

Italy CT Roberto Mancini believes Napoli forward Lorenzo Insigne is capable of doing ‘much more’ for club and country.

Insigne’s season has been marred by injuries, as well as alleged run-ins with Napoli fans and Coach Carlo Ancelotti, and Mancini wants to see an improvement from the 27-year-old.

“I arrived at a difficult time for the national team, the most difficult of the last 50 years,” he told Tutti Convocati.

Report: Insigne wants Napoli stay

Lorenzo Insigne reportedly wants to stay at Napoli after meeting club bosses and his agent Mino Raiola.

Gianluca Di Marzio claims Insigne had a meeting this morning with President Aurelio De Laurentiis, Coach Carlo Ancelotti and sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli, before having lunch with Raiola and his cousin Enzo.

The Sky Sport Italia journalist writes signals for the captain to continue playing for the Azzurri were positive and the intention is to extend his contract until 2022.

Insigne 'confides in Raiola'

Napoli forward Lorenzo Insigne has reportedly held talks with agent Mino Raiola to take stock of his recent situation.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the meeting took place in Naples between Insigne, Raiola and the super-agent’s cousin Enzo on Tuesday.

The broadcaster explains it was used to discuss the 27-year-old’s strained relationship with Partenopei fans and perceived problems with Coach Carlo Ancelotti.

'Napoli need to help Insigne'

Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti says his club have to help Lorenzo Insigne deal with responsibility as ‘too much of it isn’t good.’

Injuries and suspensions have seen Insigne play just half of Napoli’s 16 Serie A games since the turn of the year, amidst speculation the two will part at the end of the season.

“He’s a player who feels very responsible,” Ancelotti told reporters.

Insigne 'wants Napoli exit'

Lorenzo Insigne is reportedly ready to leave Napoli this summer, but the club will only sell for €100m as it stands.

Corriere dello Sport reported earlier in the week that Napoli had planned to cash in on Insigne, and Il Mattino now writes a desire to go separate ways is reciprocal.

The newspaper explains the club captain has decided to seek pastures new and, with the help of his agent Mino Raiola, will try to push for a transfer.

Liverpool deny Insigne links

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has denied reports linking his side with Napoli forward Lorenzo Insigne, even if he is ‘a very good player’.

Report: Napoli to sell Insigne

Napoli will reportedly sell Lorenzo Insigne this summer - and the forward would have no shortage of suitors.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Insigne’s relationship with Napoli has broken after their fans turned on him once more against Arsenal last week.

In turn, the Partenopei are ‘ready’ to move on from their captain, who remained a substitute during their 2-1 defeat to Atalanta and is valued at ‘no less than €70m’.
