Napoli prepare set plays

Reports from Napoli’s training session claim they have been focusing on set-play situations ahead of Juventus.

According to Radio Kiss Kiss, Coach Maurizio Sarri has locked down the Castelvolturno training ground to avoid distractions.

There was still time for fun, as two large birthday cakes were brought in for Jose Callejon and Christian Maggio.

It’s claimed most of the focus of their training session today was on dead ball scenarios, something Sarri had already specialised in while at Empoli.

Insigne 'fired up' for Juventus

Lorenzo Insigne “is very fired up and wants to be a protagonist” in Juventus v Napoli, said his agent.

Koulibaly leads Napoli renewals

Kalidou Koulibaly’s agent reportedly began contract talks with Napoli yesterday, but the club also want to extend four other players’ deals.

The centre-back’s representative Bruno Satin arrived at Castelvolturno yesterday to begin discussions about an extension to his current deal, according to Il Mattino.

A renewal for Koulibaly is one of the Partenopei’s priorities according to the paper, despite his current deal running until 2019.

Insigne: ‘Sarri gets best from us’

Napoli’s Lorenzo Insigne says Maurizio Sarri ‘gets the best from us’ but that ‘Juventus are always Scudetto favourites.’

The Partenopei are two points ahead of the Bianconeri at the top of Serie A, and Insigne has been one of their star performers.
