ADL: 'Inter want Napoli's best players'

Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis claims “Inter want to dismantle my team and asked for my strongest players,” but is not interested in Maurizio Sarri’s Juventus move.

The Partenopei patron praised the work done by his Coach Carlo Ancelotti this year in transitioning from Maurizio Sarri’s style of football to one less rigid while utilising his entire squad, unlike the current Chelsea tactician.

“Ancelotti did very well, the results confirm that he did,” De Laurentiis told the Corriere dello Sport.

Italy balance progress and the present

The Azzurri have a generation of talented young players, but Jay Cassano observes Roberto Mancini using them judiciously in the service of immediate results.

Italy test new trident

Italy had their first training session today with an exciting line-up including Federico Chiesa, Fabio Quagliarella, Lorenzo Insigne and Federico Bernardeschi.

New Napoli ready at last

If the 4-1 triumph over Inter was a sign of things to come, Kaustubh Pandey believes Napoli fans should get ready for take-off.

Carlo Ancelotti called the 4-1 demolition of Inter “a demonstration of what Napoli could be next season.” After a year of tinkering, tweaking and development, the Partenopei prototype might finally be ready to launch.

It is tough to place this season in a ‘success’ or ‘failure’ bracket for Napoli. They did get knocked out of the Europa League in the quarter-finals at the hands of Arsenal, but will finish second in the league.
