Conte: 'Respect Azzurri or get out'

Coach Antonio Conte says that 'those who do not understand the value of the Azzurri shirt are inadequate and inappropriate'.

The Coach recently called up his squad for friendlies against Belgium and Romania. Among the players left out was Napoli's Lorenzo Insigne, in a move that many suspect to be disciplinary.

The forward had an angry outburst to being brought off in their 2-0 win, but says everything is now fine after beating Midtjylland 5-0.

The Partenopei’s comfortable win saw them confirm a place in the Europa League last 32 with two games to spare.

"We played a great game as a team. If we continue like this we can go all the way,” he told Sky Sport.

Insigne apologises with pizza

Lorenzo Insigne reportedly apologised to his Napoli teammates in a very Neapolitan way – with pizza.

The striker vented his anger at being substituted in the 2-0 win over Palermo on Wednesday.

Coach Maurizio Sarri said he ought to apologise to the rest of the squad for a lack of respect.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, Insigne did precisely that via a group message on WhatsApp.

‘Napoli team of the moment’

Cesare Prandelli says that Napoli are ‘the team of the moment’ and praises the ‘democratic and hard’ Maurizio Sarri.

The Partenopei beat Palermo 2-0 last night to record their seventh win in a row in all competitions and are currently in second place in Serie A.

“Napoli are undoubtedly the team of the moment,” Prandelli said in his Calciomercato.com column.

“The fifth consecutive win in the league is giving Sarri’s team great scope, and they’re rightly trying to keep as low a profile as possible.

Agent: ‘Insigne needs protection’

Lorenzo Insigne’s agent says the Napoli man must be “protected” from tough tackles on his knee.

The Italian international missed most of last season with a cruciate ligament injury, and has taken  number of blows to the same knee in recent weeks, including Sunday’s match with Chievo.

“I hope these repeated hits to the knee are just a coincidence,” Antonio Ottaiano told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

‘Napoli can go all the way’

Lorenzo Insigne’s agent believes Napoli can go “all the way” and win the Scudetto this season.

The Partenopei have won five of their last six Serie A games, and currently sit just two points behind Roma at the top of the League.

“I don’t know whether it’s a curse to talk about the Scudetto,” Antonio Ottaiano told Radio Crc.

“I’m of the opinion that it’s always best to remain cautious. There’s one certainty though, Napoli are equipped to go all the way.
