Caicedo: 'Lazio not looking for excuses'

Forward Felipe Caicedo said Lazio ‘can’t look for excuses’ after the 4-1 defeat to Atalanta and vowed to be ‘ready’ for Inter this weekend.

Caicedo scored the Biancocelesti goal in the loss to top four rivals Atalanta on Wednesday and the Ecuador international said ‘a few situations went against’ the Aquile.

However, the 32-year-old didn’t want to look for any excuses and claimed Lazio ‘need to be more clinical’ going forward.

Report: Cyprien close to Parma

Parma are in talks with Nice over midfielder Wylan Cyprien, who has reportedly reached an agreement with the Gialloblu.

The French midfielder has, according to TMW, come to terms with the Crociati and the club has entered in advanced talks with the Ligue 1 side.

The outlet reveals Parma are on the verge of closing a deal with the French side, as Cyprien’s contract expires in June 2021.

Nice signed the 25-year-old from Lens in July 2016 and Cyprien has since played 109 games for Nice, contributing 23 goals and 12 assists.

Hellas Verona in for Vieira?

Hellas Verona are reportedly in talks with Sampdoria to sign midfielder Ronaldo Vieira.

Tuttomercatoweb claims the English midfielder has been targeted by Ivan Juric’s side, who have entered in negotiations with the Blucerchiati.

The outlet claims the Gialloblu are hoping to sign the 22-year-old on loan with an option to buy.

Vieira arrived from Leeds United for €7.1m in August 2018 and has played 44 competitive games for Samp, including 27 in Serie A last term.

Iachini: 'Chiesa is fully committed'

Fiorentina coach Beppe Iachini says Federico Chiesa ‘is fully committed’ to the Viola and hopes to have him available against Sampdoria.

Chiesa has been linked with a move away from Fiorentina this summer and has yet to renew his contract expiring in June 2022.

Juventus are reportedly in advanced talks with the Viola and patron Rocco Commisso has said he will be willing to sell the forward ‘for the right price’.

Chiesa is still a Fiorentina player, for now, and Iachini said he counts on the 22-year-old against the Blucerchiati.

Serie A: Genoa-Torino postponed

The scheduled match between Genoa and Torino on Saturday, October 3, has been postponed due to the 14 cases of COVID-19 at the Grifoni.

The Rossoblu returned from a 6-0 defeat to Napoli in Serie A last weekend and have since confirmed 14 cases of coronavirus in the matchday group.

Genoa were supposed to host the Granata at the Marassi at 17.00 UK time on Saturday, but Serie A has confirmed the match is postponed.

The Extraordinary Council of the Lega Serie A has confirmed the application of the UEFA rules in the Italian League.

Genoa sign Shomurodov

FC Rostov have officially announced the sale of Eldor Shomurodov, who moves to Genoa for around €8m.

The 25-year-old scored 11 goals in 28 Russian Premier League games last term and has completed his move to the Rossoblu.

Multiple reports in Italy claim the Grifoni have spent €8m to bring the winger to Italy and Rostov officially announced the sale of the Uzbekistan international on their official website.

“An agreement has been reached between Rostov and the Italian club Genoa over a transfer of the striker," the statement read.

'D'Angieri wants to buy Torino'

Raffaele Cavani, the lawyer of Nunzio Alfredo D’Angieri, has confirmed the tycoon is interested in buying Torino. ‘We are ready to deal with Urbano Cairo’.

The ambassador for European affairs of Belize said to Tiki Taka that he was ‘willing to take over’ the Granata, should patron Cairo be interested in selling the club.

D’Angieri’s lawyer Cavani confirmed to Tuttosport that the businessman, who ranked 601st in the list of the richest men in the world three years ago, also wants to buy the Stadio Grande Torino.

Report: Atalanta sign Depaoli

Atalanta have reportedly signed a deal with full-back Fabio Depaoli, who arrives from Sampdoria on loan with an option to buy.

Tuttomercatoweb claims La Dea are only formalities away from announcing the deal, having signed the deal with the 23-year-old.

The former Italy Under-21 star moved from Chievo Verona to Sampdoria for €4.5m last summer and has since appeared 31 times for the Blucerchiati.
