Zlatan: 'Respect the COVID rules'

Milan forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic indirectly responds to Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo by urging people to ‘not challenge COVID-19 and respect the rules’.

The Rossoneri forward encouraged the Italians to keep ‘distance’ and wear masks in the battle against coronavirus.

The Old Lady forward Cristiano Ronaldo was not happy to sit out against Barcelona last night and posted picture saying he felt ‘good and healthy’.

FIGC met with Lotito over COVID outbreak

The FIGC visited Lazio following the outbreak that left the Biancocelesti without 12 players for the match against Club Brugge in the Champions League.

Il Messaggero reports the Federcalcio representatives paid a visit to Formello after the COVID-19 cases emerged at Lazio and the announcement has raised some questions for patron Claudio Lotito.

The inspectors from the association had a long meeting with the President, after 12 cases was found by the UEFA swabs ahead of the trip to Bruges.

Mancini: 'I'm sorry for Balotelli'

Italy CT Roberto Mancini said he’s ‘very sorry’ for Mario Balotelli, who struggles to find a new club.

The former Italy international has been without a club since he terminated his deal with Brescia after the relegation to Serie B.

“I’m very sorry, now he’s 30 and would be at the height of his technical maturity,” Mancini told SportLab. “I’m sorry that he’s in this condition and can’t find a team. He hasn’t done well in recent years.

Inter: Skriniar has returned to Italy

Inter defender Milan Skriniar has returned to Italy after 21 days in quarantine, but will most likely sit out on Saturday against Parma.

Sky Sport Italia reveals the Slovakia defender has returned to Milan and is currently waiting for the results from the required swab test.

Skriniar, who tested positive for COVID-19 during international duty, is not expected to play this weekend, even if the results come back negative.

However, after Parma on Saturday, he could be in contention for the match against Real Madrid.

Capello: ‘Italian teams disadvantaged in Europe’

Fabio Capello has called on UEFA to regulate fans' attendance at stadiums in European games: ‘It’s not fair that some clubs can have home supporters while others can’t.'

Capello was speaking on Sky Sport after Tuesday round of Champions League fixtures, and argued that there is an unfair advantage for clubs who are able to play in front of supporters.

“Shakhtar played with 15.000 fans against Inter and I think they were helped by them,” Capello said after the Nerazzurri’s 0-0 draw in Ukraine on Tuesday.
