Bastoni: 'Inter are my home'

Defender Alessandro Bastoni said ‘it’s a dream come true’ to play for Inter and has reassured fans that he is not looking to move. ‘Inter are my home’.

So far, the young defender has played 14 times in Serie A under Antonio Conte and is tied to the club until June 2023.

The Nerazzurri are reportedly looking to upgrade his current deal and triple his salary at San Siro amid rumours about interest from clubs on the continent.

Sticchi Damiani: 'Can't go beyond mid-July'

Lecce President Saverio Sticchi Damiani has claimed he would like to finish the current campaign but pointed out that Serie A ‘can't play beyond mid-July’ without damaging the upcoming season.

Lecce are fighting for salvation in the top tier and are currently placed in the relegation zone, only behind Genoa in safety on goal difference.

The President would like to see the Giallorossi get a chance to save their season but only with certain criteria in place.

Benatia predicts great future for young duo

Former Juventus defender Medhi Benatia has praised both Merih Demiral and Matthijs de Ligt, predicting a great future for the defensive duo at the Allianz Stadium.

The Dutch starlet arrived at the Allianz Stadium last summer and has played 20 games in Serie A after replacing an injured Giorgio Chiellini in the defence.

“De Ligt has everything it takes to stay ten years in Turin,” Benatia told Tuttosport. “He is one of the best around and, since he arrived in Turin, he has developed in training next to many great champions.

Reina: 'I couldn't breathe'

Milan loanee Pepe Reina revealed that he ‘lost oxygen for 25 minutes’ after contracting coronavirus and claimed he 'never had as much fun' as with Maurizio Sarri’s Napoli.

Atalanta target 'new Ilicic'

Atalanta and Inter are allegedly preparing to fight for Lech Poznan’s 18-year-old attacker Filip Marchwinski, dubbed the 'new Josip Ilicic'.

On January 10, the starlet turned 18 and has attracted interest from a host of top clubs through his excellent performances with the Polish side.

He came through the ranks at Lech Poznan and broke through at senior level last season, making his debut in December 2018, one month before turning 17.

Sassuolo want to finish the campaign

Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali has revealed that he wants to 'complete the championship' even if it means playing in July.

Yesterday, the FIGC President Gabriele Gravina confirmed that the 'idea is to restart Serie A on May 20 or early June' and gets support from Sassuolo CEO Carnevali.

“At Sassuolo we have always had a clear point of view: to complete the championship,” he told Rai Sport. “I think it’s fair in everyone’s comparison.

Cellino: 'Arrogant and irresponsible'

Brescia President Massimo Cellino has slammed the suggested resumption on May 20 and called the the idea 'arrogant and irresponsible'.

During yesterday’s summit, it became clear that Serie A are preparing for a possible resumption after the coronavirus emergency, but the Brescia patron has been struggling to accept the proposal.

“It’s arrogant and irresponsible,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “My speech is primarily based on two pillars: respect for health and safety of the footballing system.
