Calabria: 'Milan must aim for the top'

Right-back Davide Calabria claims Milan ‘must aim for the top’, as he hopes to build on the 'positive spell' and prove the Rossoneri ‘are a quality team’.

The 23-year-old played 25 Serie A matches last term and was in the starting line-up against Bologna on Monday, becoming an important member of the Diavolo squad under coach Stefano Pioli.

Official: Verona sign Colley

Hellas Verona have signed Ebrima Colley on loan with an option to buy from Atalanta.

The Gialloblu have officially announced the signature of the 20-year-old from Gambia, who has played five games in Serie A with the Orobici.

“Hellas Verona FC announce the signing of Ebrima Colley on loan with an option to buy from Atalanta Bergamasca Calcio,” the statement read.

Official: Spezia sign Pobega

Spezia have officially signed Tommaso Pobega on loan with an option to buy from Milan, who have a buy-back clause in the agreement.

The newly promoted side have signed the midfielder, who spent last season on loan at Pordenone in Serie B, and he will spend 2020-21 on loan in Liguria.

The 21-year-old, who scored six times in 34 games with Pordenone, recently signed a five-year deal with the Rossoneri.

“The midfielder arrives on loan with an option to buy and a buy-back clause from Milan,” the statement read.

Juventus lawyer: 'No agreement'

After the Prosecutor’s Office opened an investigation into the exam taken by Luis Suarez in Perugia, Juventus lawyer Maria Turco has released a statement.

The Atletico Madrid-bound forward seemed set for a move to Juventus this summer before the passport complications stalled a move to the Old Lady, but the Uruguayan forward flew to Perugia for the examinations last week.

Storari joins Juventus staff

Juventus have officially announced Marco Storari as a new member of the Professional Talent Development at the Old Lady.

The former goalkeeper has been given the task to develop the talents in the youth ranks at Juventus and was officially announced as a new member of the staff today.

Storari, who played for Juventus from 2010 to 2015, retired after a short stint at Milan in July 2018 and has experience from stints at Cagliari, Napoli, Sampdoria and Fiorentina. The 43-year-old has returned to work for the Bianconeri.

Milan: Duarte positive for COVID-19

Milan have announced Leo Duarte has tested positive for COVID-19 and is in quarantine.

The Brazilian centre-back, who played 18 minutes against Bologna on Monday, has been placed in home isolation after testing positive for coronavirus.

“AC Milan announce that the player Leo Duarte tested positive after the swab tests the players carried out yesterday and was promptly placed in home quarantine,” the statement reads.

“The other members of the group have all tested negative.”

Hernandez: 'Milan move an easy decision'

Theo Hernandez admitted he didn’t have to think twice about moving to Milan and said it’s ‘incredible’ to work with former hero Paolo Maldini.

The Milan left-back started the new season with an assist in the 2-0 win against Bologna on Monday and continues to impress since his €20m move from Real Madrid in July 2019.

The 22-year-old had only played 13 games in La Liga with Los Blancos but had gained experience during spells on loan with Deportivo Alaves and Real Sociedad in the Spanish top tier.

Morata: 'I had a desire to return to Juve'

Alvaro Morata believes he returns to Juventus as ‘a better player’ and revealed he always had the ‘desire to return’ to the Allianz Stadium.

Juventus have brought back the Spanish striker, who spent two seasons in Turin between 2014 and 2016.

“This is a great feeling for me to return here,” he told Juventus TV. “I have always felt attached to being here and I’m happy.

Immobile: 'Best moment of my career'

Lazio forward Ciro Immobile said he realised ‘a personal dream’ when he picked up the Capocannoniere title in 2019-20.

Immobile scored 36 times in Serie A last season and helped Lazio reach fourth and qualify for the Champions League for the first time in 13 years.

“The Golden Boot was my target, a personal dream,” Immobile told Radio Esercito. “I came very close to it a couple of years ago but due to an injury I missed my opportunity.
