Nedved: ‘Morata belongs to Juventus’

Pavel Nedved does not believe Alvaro Morata will leave Juventus for Real Madrid - “he’s ours, I only see him at Juve”.

The Spanish striker arrived in Turin in the summer of 2014, but Los Merengues retain a buyback clause for summer 2016.

“He’s ours, and I only see him at Juve,” Nedved, now a Bianconeri director, told reporters after a golf event.

“He’s very good, and I think so far he’s only at 60 per cent.”

Nedved: ‘Inter a Scudetto rival’

Pavel Nedved sees Inter, Roma, Fiorentina and Napoli as Juventus’ potential Scudetto rivals.

The Bianconeri have started the season poorly, and currently sit 12th in Serie A after taking just eight points from seven games.

“Who can fight for the Scudetto besides Juventus?” Nedved considered in an interview with Sky.

“Those who are already up there. I’m looking at Inter, because they’re not in Europe, so they can play one game a week and that’s very important.

'Juve can still fight, but Pogba...'

Director Pavel Nedved believes Juventus can come back for the Scudetto, but Paul Pogba must be 'more concrete'.

The Bianconeri have done something to right their awful start to the season with a 3-1 victory against Bologna, but they still have a long way to go.

“Our comeback in 2002 was beautiful, we won the Scudetto on the last day and I think we could do this now too,” Nedved told the Press of the Scudetto challenge, at the Turkish Airlines Football Legends European Golf Championship event.

Chievo arrive in Turin on Saturday, and the striker says he and his teammates are ready to make up for their poor start.

Lemina: ‘Del Piero, Nedved inspirations’

Mario Lemina names his Juventus heroes as Pavel Nedved and Alessandro Del Piero.

The midfielder has joined the Bianconeri on an initial loan basis from Marseille, and was asked at his presentation about his favourite Juve players growing up.

“A Juventus player who inspired me a lot is Del Piero,” Lemina explained.

“Now, unfortunately, I’m not a stiker, so it’s not really possible to look at him and be inspired by him. I’m also inspired by Nedved, who is also a Juventus legend and played in my role.

Nedved: 'Juve can win this'

Pavel Nedved hopes Juventus can tonight make up for his 2003 Champions League Final disappointment. “We can win this.”

The Czech star was suspended for that Final against Milan at Old Trafford, much as Giorgio Chiellini is ruled out by injury to face Barcelona in Berlin.

“It was a huge disappointment for me in 2003,” Nedved told Tuttosport.

“Now Juve are back at the top, are dominating football in Italy and are holding their own in Europe, even if four clubs can consider themselves stronger.
