Milan to sign permanent deal with Tonali

Milan are reportedly certain to trigger the option to sign 20-year-old Sandro Tonali from Brescia on a permanent deal.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports the Italian midfielder’s future will still be with the Rossoneri, despite some ups and downs during his first season at San Siro.

Milan snapped up Tonali on a paid loan with an option to buy last summer, after the 20-year-old had attracted interest from the giants in Serie A through his performances with the Rondinelle.

Carnesecchi key to Atalanta problem?

Atalanta refuse to decide between their two goalkeepers, but Marco Carnesecchi’s performances for the Under-21 Italy side could put him in front of them both.

Coach Gian Piero Gasperini has rotated Marco Sportiello and Pierluigi Gollini, with both having difficulties and weaknesses.

Everything about the Italy Under-21 European Championship draw with Spain was absolutely infuriating. From the officiating to the pathetic attitude shown by the Azzurrini to the ludicrous play-acting of the Spaniards, all the way through to coach Paolo Nicolato declaring himself ‘satisfied’ with that shower some of us were forced to sit through on a Saturday night.
