Official: SPAL sign Konate

SPAL have officially confirmed the signing of Pa Momodou Konate from Swedish side Malmo.

The left-back is a Swedish international, and has been capped three times by the country of his birth.

“This morning, SPAL officially competed the signing of Malmo left-back Pa Momodou Konate, a full-back for the Swedish national side,” a statement from the club reads.

“The Biancoazzurri have signed the player outright, tying him to a three-year contract with an option for a fourth year.”

Official: Chievo sell Christiansen

Chievo have officially confirmed the transfer of Anders Christiansen to Swedish side Malmo.

The Danish midfielder joined the Flying Donkeys last January, and made four appearances for the Veronese side last season.

This term the 25-year-old has been limited to just one substitute appearance in the Coppa Italia, and it has now been confirmed that he has left the club.

Official: Verona sign Swede Helander

Sweden Under-21 international Filip Helander has signed for Hellas Verona from Malmö.

The central defender recently turned 22 and was a key figure in their victory at the European Under-21 Championships.

“He is a talented player who did well in the Euros,” Malmö director of sport Daniel Andersson told Expressen.

“Helander told us that he wanted to leave over the summer and it was not our plan to put the brakes on his ambitions.

“We did offer a contract renewal, but we knew what he wanted.”
