Two games for Mihajlovic?

Milan will be playing for the future of Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic in the next two games, according to reports.

The Serbian replaced Filippo Inzaghi on the bench this summer, but the Rossoneri are five points worse off than at this stage last season.

Following defeat to Inter in last night’s Trofeo Berlusconi, club President Silvio Berlusconi was in no mood to speak, but notably didn’t back the Coach.

“I was disappointed not to win as it's dedicated to the memory of my father,” the patron told reporters after the match.

Mancini highest paid Coach

Inter boss Roberto Mancini is the highest-paid Coach in Serie A, but Milan are paying three different tacticians.

La Gazzetta dello Sport held an investigation into the expenditure of the Italian top flight clubs.

They found that Mancini is the Coach with the biggest wages, earning €4m per season net plus performance-related bonuses.

That is the same sum earned by Italy manager Antonio Conte, although the Azzurri contract is partly paid for by sponsors Puma.

Milan’s summer of futility

Despite heavy investment this summer, Sam Lewis explains that nothing appears to have changed at Milan.

“Nothing has changed from last year, there was too much fear,” Milan coach Sinisia Mihajlovic raged to press following Milan’s 2-1 win over Empoli.

Mihajlovic means business

A new season dawns for Milan, and with it comes another new coach, but Sam Lewis sees reason to believe things may be different this time.

Sinisia Mihajlovic begins his Rossoneri tenure with training sessions, but there already appears to be evidence to suggest this particular tactician won’t be quite like the previous ones.

Allegri: 'Seedorf drove me mad'

Massimiliano Allegri denies he had a row with Andrea Pirlo at Milan, but Clarence Seedorf “drove me up the wall.”

The Coach had always been blamed by fans for pushing Pirlo away from the Rossoneri, so fireworks were expected when they worked together at Juventus.

“I never had any arguments with Pirlo,” he told La Repubblica newspaper. “The transfer to Juve revitalised him psychologically and change can be cathartic.

Mexes madness sadly symbolic

Philippe Mexes’ actions are representative of a Milan spiralling out of control, writes Sam Lewis, with the Rossoneri perhaps already looking for a new Coach.

Perhaps the saddest thing about Philippe Mexes’ choke-slam attempt on Stefano Mauri in the dying minutes of Milan’s game against Lazio was that it probably wasn’t the most disappointing part of the game.

The match-up against the capital club and alleged rival for European places was billed as an important one, a fixture that could already be permanently detrimental to Pippo Inzaghi’s future as Rossonero Coach.

Milan’s answer - sale not summit

After Silvio Berlusconi sold Milan’s soul, Sam Lewis believes it’s time to sell the club too.

Sadly familiar headlines floated around the peninsula after another disappointing week in Milan’s 2014-15 concluded following a 1-0 loss to Atalanta. The Rossoneri displayed their mental fragility with a defeat despite dominating most facets of the game. Once again, a ‘provincial’ side managed to beat the great Milan, who are looking more pedestrian with each passing result.

Montolivo: ‘Third place only if...’

Milan captain Riccardo Montolivo says he ‘believes in third place’, but his team will need a ‘worker's spirit’ to achieve it.

The midfielder has cast his eye on the Rossoneri’s current League situation of joint-sixth, and refused to be drawn on comparisons with the era under previous Coach Clarence Seedorf.

“It's hard to draw comparisons, but we're talking about two teams searching for an identity,” said Montolivo to the Corriere della Sera.
