Roma lose to Benevento

A revamped Roma suffered a surprise 2-1 friendly defeat to Serie B outfit Benevento, with Roberto Insigne on target.

The Giallorossi were missing 13 players on international duty, while Daniele De Rossi was rested, but they could still count on Javier Pastore, Federico Fazio and Stephan El Shaarawy.

Riccardo Improta had a goal disallowed for offside, but Benevento did eventually take the lead after the restart with Insigne – the younger brother of Napoli star Lorenzo – pouncing on the rebound from Raul Asencio’s parried effort.

Benevento deal for Kapustka

Serie B side Benevento have surprisingly agreed a deal for Leicester City and Poland forward Bartosz Kapustka.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the 21-year-old already arrived in Italy this evening and will have his medical on Friday morning.

Negotiations are whittling down the details, but it is expected to be a paid loan with option to buy at the end of the season.

Leicester paid €5m to get him in 2016, but then loaned him out to Freiburg last term.

Kapustka scored three goals in 18 senior caps for his country.
