Allegri: 'We should've finished it off'

Massimiliano Allegri was not entirely happy with Milan's performance in Turin. “We should've finished off the game sooner.”

The Rossoneri are running away at the top of the table after a 1-0 victory against Juventus, secured by Gennaro Gattuso.

“I think this is our second solid performance after the one against Napoli, although last week we were more incisive in attack,” said the Coach.

Ibra: I am no talisman

Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic claims he would never like to be considered a talisman like Francesco Totti or Alessandro Del Piero.

The Sweden international left Inter in the summer of 2009 only to controversially return to Italy with Milan at the end of last season.

Interviewed by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Ibrahimovic said: "I wouldn't like to be a talisman.

"It's better to change rather than stay at a club for a long time because you learn through changing and a great player must be decisive in many clubs.

Milan open soccer school in Japan

Milan have become the first Italian club to open a soccer school in Japan with a view to sourcing young talent.

It's well documented that the Asian market offers massive commercial opportunities for the world's biggest football clubs.

Hidetoshi Nakata's arrival at Perugia in 1998 blazed a trail for the likes of Yuto Nagatomo [pictured] who joined Inter in January.

Milan are following the example set by Barcelona and Valencia who have already set up academies in Japan.

Astori: I have time for Milan

Cagliari defender Davide Astori insists that time is on his side and a move to Milan doesn't necessarily have to happen right away.

The 24-year-old has long been on Milan's radar and there was talk of a transfer taking place when the window opened in January.

Astori is co-owned by Cagliari and Milan, and both apparently want to buy him outright, so a battle is expected at the end of the season.

Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport, he said: "Massimo Cellino and Adriano Galliani will decide.

Allegri: Juve are a wounded animal

Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri has warned his players that Juventus are a wounded animal.

The two sides are set to meet on Saturday in one of Serie A's most eagerly anticipated fixtures.

"When there are 11 games left, every game can be the most important," Allegri said.

"But tomorrow, the game is worth a lot to us in that it's key for the Scudetto. It's worth a lot to them in that's it important to close in on the Champions League places.

Moggi announces Juve comeback

Disgraced former director Luciano Moggi has confirmed he'll be in the stands for Juventus-Milan, ending a five-year absence.

The figure at the centre of the Calciopoli trial has not attended a Bianconeri game since May 7, 2006, in a fixture against Palermo.

However, he told Chiambretti Night television programme that he had bought a ticket and will watch Juve-Milan on Saturday evening with friends.

It fuels already existing rumours that Moggi is preparing a shock comeback to the Juventus Board of Directors.

Redknapp: 'Bale could face Milan'

Harry Redknapp is keeping Milan on tenterhooks, as he now claims Gareth Bale and Rafael Van der Vaart will be fit for their meeting.

Bale missed the Champions League first leg, won 1-0 by Tottenham at San Siro, with a back injury that has kept him out for over a month.

The Welsh wizard was also expected to miss out on the return match at White Hart Lane on Wednesday evening, but that might not be the case.

Van Bommel: Derby not decisive

Milan midfielder Mark Van Bommel doesn't think the Derby della Madonnina in April will be decisive in the title race.

Inter are five points behind the League leaders, but have generated a great deal of momentum since Leonardo's appointment in December.

Speaking to Sky Italia, Van Bommel said: "The derby is an important game, but I don't believe that it will decide the season.

"We still have many games to play. We must concentrate on Juventus, on Tottenham, and then one Bari and on Palermo.

San Siro contingent called up for Brazil

Inter and Milan are well represented in Mano Menezes' latest Brazil squad ahead of a friendly against Scotland at the Emirates on March 27.

Julio Cesar, Douglas Maicon and Lucio were called up from Inter to bolster the defence. They will be joined in the backline by Milan's Thiago Silva.

The only other Serie A based player named in the squad is Milan striker Alexandre Pato who has been in terrific form since the advent of the New Year.

Chiellini: Juve concentrating on Milan

Giorgio Chiellini insists Juventus aren't thinking about qualifying for the Champions League right now, but rather their next game against Milan.

The Old Lady is in crisis after losing back-to-back games in Serie A to Lecce and Bologna.

Gigi Del Neri is thought to be under review and changes will be made in the summer.

Juventus currently lie seventh in Serie A and risk not qualifying for next year's Champions League.
