Thiago Silva: 'Leo will convince Ganso'

As the two San Siro sides battle over Brazilian Ganso, Thiago Silva reveals why he'll choose Inter. “You can't say no to Leonardo.”

The local rivals have made no secret of their interest in bringing 21-year-old playmaker Paulo Henrique Ganso to Serie A, especially after he told Santos this week that he wanted a move to Europe.

Someone in the same position was Thiago Silva, who joined the Rossoneri when current Inter boss Leonardo was in charge.

Julio Cesar: 'Ibra derby would be shameful'

Julio Cesar believes it would've been “absolutely shameful” if Zlatan Ibrahimovic's ban had been reduced to let him play in the Milan derby.

The striker did partially win his appeal against a three-match suspension, but the reduction to two rounds means he is still going to miss the Derby della Madonnina.

“It would've been absolutely shameful if Ibra were allowed to play the derby after what he did,” blasted the Inter goalkeeper, currently on international duty with Brazil.

Milan appeal Ibra ban

Milan have formally launched an appeal to overturn Zlatan Ibrahimovic's three-match suspension.

Ibrahimovic was punished following his red card against Bari for hitting defender Marco Rossi.

It means the Sweden international misses next week's potentially title-deciding Derby della Madonnina.

Milan's lawyer Leandro Cantamessa has asked that the ban be reduced to one match on the basis that his offence wasn't tantamount to violent conduct.

Sheva's advice for Pato and Balo

Milan legend Andriy Shevchenko has given Alexandre Pato and Mario Balotelli some pearls of wisdom.

The Ukraine international, now back with Dynamo Kiev, feels both strikers can still improve.

Pato has struggled in Europe this season while Balotelli continues to be linked with Milan.

Speaking to Il Corriere dello Sport, Shevchenko was asked about Balotelli's prospective move.

"For the moment it's only a project. Balotelli must find balance in himself. He must learn to respect the rule of football and of the world.

Ibra still banned for Milan derby

Zlatan Ibrahimovic's three-match ban has been reduced on appeal, but he'll still miss the Milan derby.

The Rossoneri lodged a formal appeal after the striker was sent off for jabbing Bari defender Marco Rossi in the ribs.

The Disciplinary Commission did accept it was not a particularly violent gesture, but the three-match ban has been reduced to two.

This still means Ibrahimovic is suspended for the next Serie A game – the Derby della Madonnina against Inter.

That Scudetto showdown is on Saturday April 2.

Pato still hears from Leo

Milan striker Alexandre Pato says he still hears from Leonardo even after his decision to take charge of rivals Inter.

Speaking ahead of the Derby della Madonnina, Pato said: "There are still many days left until April 2. The ankle is better. I hope to play against Inter.

"The fans should be calm. We are still top of the League ahead of Inter.
